The chairperson of the Infosys Foundation, Sudha Murty is one of the most inspiring women in our country. From being an entrepreneur to an author, an educator, and whatnot, a philanthropist, she is just one woman army. The 71-year-old author is renowned for putting his unfiltered views and thoughts on almost any topic in the world. The entrepreneur never skips a chance to motivate and inspire women nationwide to start believing in their potential. Sudha Murty is also renowned for always silencing people with her fiery remarks, who try to take a dig at women and their capabilities in the business world.
For the unversed, Sudha Murty is married to the co-founder of Infosys, Narayana Murthy. The couple tied the marital knot back on February 10, 1978. The couple is blessed with two children, Rohan Murthy and Akshata Murthy. The entrepreneur couple hardly appears in public with their kids as they prefer to keep them away from the limelight of the media glare.

In the initial months of the year 2023, the co-founder of Infosys, Narayana Murthy, and the Infosys Foundation chairperson, Sudha Murty, attended a session at IIT Kanpur. It was a highly interactive session, and the couple answered a lot of informative and casual questions from the students. However, during the interaction, Narayana Murthy shared an incident that was about him on a flight from London and revealed that Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan was sitting next to him.
"The other day, I was coming from London, and next to me, Kareena Kapoor was sitting."
Recalling the same, Narayana Murthy revealed that when some fans approached the actress, she ignored them completely, which he found quite disrespectful. The co-founder of Infosys went on to add that many people came to meet him, and he greeted them with grace, and it was exactly what he was expecting from Kareena, but she wasn’t bothered to meet her fans. Sharing his thoughts about the incident, Narayana Murthy said:
"So many people came to her and said hello, and she didn’t even bother to react. I was a little bit surprised. Whosoever came to me, I stood up, we spoke for a minute or half-a-minute. That’s all that they were expecting."

As soon as Narayana Murthy completed his revelation, it was his wife, Sudha Murty defended Kareena Kapoor Khan for ignoring her fans. While reasoning with her husband on Kareena’s actions, Sudha Murty stated that she must have been tired and she could not meet and greet everyone every time as she has millions of admirers across the country. Comparing Kareena’s fanbase with her husband, Narayana Murthy’s, Sudha left the crowd in splits. As she said:
"She (Kareena Kapoor Khan) must have a million admirers, she must have been tired. Murthy, a founder, a software person, will have maybe 10,000 (fans), but a film actor will have millions."
However, in the end, it was Narayana Murthy, who ended the discussion with his statement in response to his wife, Sudha Murty’s statement about fame. The entrepreneur emphasised on the basic courtesy of reacting affectionately if a person is greeting you with so much love and admiration with a devoted heart. He said:
"That is not the issue. The issue is, when somebody shows affection, you can also show it back, in however cryptic a manner. I think that is very important. These are all ways to reduce your ego, that’s all."
