SRK's Hilarious Warning To Mika Singh Over Gauri Khan's Interior Designing Skills: 'Lootegi Tujhe'

Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan never misses a chance to entertain, even when it is just a casual conversation. In a recent interview, popular Bollywood singer, Mika Singh shared some anecdotes from his interactions with Shah Rukh, who has become one of his close friends in the industry. During the conversation, the singer talked about the time he wanted his house to be renovated by Gauri Khan, and SRK warned him against it.

Mika Singh recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s warning against Gauri Khan’s prices

Mika Singh recently sat for a candid chat with Pinkvilla, going back in time to his early meeting with Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan. The Mauja Hi Mauja singer, who shares a warm bond with SRK, recalled an exchange when he requested the superstar to ask his wife, Gauri Khan, to renovate his house. However, in his classic style of humour, the Raees actor discouraged him, suggesting that the transformation might come with a hefty price tag. Mika shared:

“I requested him that please ask Gauri bhabhi to do the interiors. He said ‘Nahi yaar, bohot lootegi tujhe, bohot mehenga karegi’. Jaan bhoojh ke dara rahe the mujhe. I said, ‘Paaji please’. He said, ‘Tu khud baat kar’.”

Mika’s trust in Gauri Khan’s vision

Despite Shah Rukh Khan’s playful warning, Mika decided to go ahead with Gauri Khan’s expertise in renovating the interiors of his house. However, the renowned interior designer had one condition for Mika — he was not allowed to question her choices. The singer recalled:

“Gauri ma’am had one demand that whatever I do, you can’t question me. Like usually, I don’t use green colour in my house, I only use beige. All my houses only have brown and beige. In the middle of this house, she has added a green couch.”

The singer further shared that the project took nearly two years to complete, but he never interfered or even visited the site while she was working. He trusted Gauri Khan’s expertise completely, and when the house was ready, it was a view to behold. Thanking the celebrated designer, Mika Singh shared:

“It took her almost two years to do this and I never questioned her. I didn’t even come and see it while she was working on it, but you can see the result of my patience. So once again, thank you, Gauri bhabhi for such a wonderful house.”

Mika Singh’s bond with Shah Rukh Khan

During the same conversation, talking about his bond with SRK, Mika revealed that the superstar is a brother-like figure to him, and their bond is quite strong. Even though Mika has only worked on limited songs for Shah Rukh, such as Dhingana and Ghammar Ghammar from Raees, he shares a deep connection with the Pathaan actor.

SRK and Gauri’s own home makeover

Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mannat is also set for a grand renovation. Reports suggest that the superstar and his family will temporarily move out as the mansion undergoes an extension and upgrade. However, given Mannat’s status as a Grade III heritage structure, SRK had to obtain special court permission for the modifications.
