The message that Dil To Pagal Hai had given to its viewers stood true for the film’s lead actress, Madhuri Dixit as she had met and had fallen in love with her soulmate, Dr Sriram Nene. The dhak dhak girl of Bollywood had met her knight in shining armour, who had swept her off her feet. She stole many hearts with her dance number, 'Mera Piya Ghar Aaya, O Ramji', and became the love of the nation with that enchanting smile of hers. The ruling queen of the 90s, Madhuri had met Dr Nene on her brother, Ajit Dixit’s request. After several meetings, they had become friends and rest as they say is history. It was sheer love because of which, Madhuri had decided to settle down with Sriram during the peak of her career and the one interesting fact was that Sriram was completely unaware of the super-stardom of his wife when they had gotten married on October 17, 1999.
Madhuri Dixit and Sriram Nene had completed 20-years of marital bliss and are still giving major relationship goals. On July 8, 2020, Sriram took to his Instagram handle and shared a mesmerising picture with his ladylove, Madhuri. In the picture, Madhuri looked gorgeous in traditional attire and Sriram complemented her in a navy blue bandhgala. When Dr Nene had met Madhuri for the first time, he was not aware of the fact that she was an actress and worked in Hindi films. The much-in-love couple is an inspiration to many and has been setting major couple goals. On January 4, 2020, Madhuri Dixit Nene had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with her hubby, Sriram Nene. Madhuri can make anyone’s heart skip a beat with her charming smile. Madhuri and Sriram Nene had taken a trip to Seychelles to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. On October 16, 2019, the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun actress had taken to her Instagram stories and had posted pictures from her vacation in Seychelles with Sriram Nene and kids, Arin and Rayaan. To wish his beautiful wife, Sriram had taken to his IG handle and had shared a special anniversary wish for her. His wish could be read as “Have spent 20 years together living the dream. Have raised kids, brought down the house with laughter together, and built things for everyone, Looking forward to a lifetime with my soulmate, @madhuridixitnene and making the world a better place to live.”
In an interview with the Filmfare, Madhuri had talked about her life after she had tied the knot with Sriram. She had stated, “Marriage changes all of us to some degree, no matter what people say. Some of the changes are common to all marriages like your schedules and time with family, etc. It’s great to have a life partner you can depend on. At the same time, you now have to look out for the family unit. In our case, the issue of her being a celebrity makes some things difficult or impossible. This is more the case in India than in the US.
