I couldn’t step out of the house and I didn’t let anyone step out of the house because I feared that I/ they would get kidnapped. I was in a deep depression at the time.” He also added that he used to come out of his room with a smile on his face because he never wanted to put that huge burden on his parents' shoulders. Moving forward in the conversation, Sreesanth also revealed that despite being in depression, he knew that his family needs him and he can’t do anything stupid with his life. The cricketer added that “It is something I battled with incessantly in 2013. It was there everywhere I turned, the easy way out, but my family kept me sane. I had to stick around for my family. I knew they needed me.” However, Sreesanth also admitted that he was on the edge of replicating what late Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput has done. He said, “I was on that edge but I walked back because I knew how much it would hurt those who believe in me and love me.”

Well, in a lot of interviews earlier, we have heard Sreesanth talking about that painful phase of his life when he was battling with depression. However, the cricketer’s ban is going to end in September 2020 and is going to be available for the forthcoming domestic season of Indian cricket. Recently, in an interview with Cricbuzz, Sreesanth had revealed how excited he is thinking about the prospect of playing in the IPL again. He had said, “I will again play IPL. That's where I was thrown out and I will make sure I am back on that platform, win matches.” Also, he had added that in life you have to trust people no matter what and had said, “Trust is a very under-rated word. Take 'T' out of Trust and all you have is rust. You need to trust people. I was told in my dark days, I will see nobody around me. But those who gave that theory were wrong. Irfan Pathan called me, Harbhajan Singh checked my well-being, everyone wished well.”

Once in a media interaction with The Times of India, Sreesanth had also shared how his wife, Bhuvneshwari has been a pillar of strength for him and his family. He had stated, "My wife has always been a support system to my family and me. Even before the controversy, she was always in touch with my family. When I was injured and I was out of cricket for 18 months, she was constantly in touch with me. She used to mail me songs, modulations and stuff. So I should say, it was a very nice gesture by her towards me and my family." (Also Read: Mukti Mohan Shares Crazy Video From Her Birthday Celebrations, Calls It 'Best Lockdown Bday Ever')
