With the sparking monsoon wedding rumours of Sonam Kapoor and her long-time beau Anand Ahuja, it is believed that it will be a destination wedding for them. The couple is planning a destination wedding in the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. But Sonam does not like discussing her personal life online or offline.
The Padman actress was spotted shopping at Raj Mahtani’s jewellery store in Kolkata. Adding fuel to the fire, if reports are to be believed she was accompanied by her soon-to-be mother-in-law. This high-end jewellery shop is the one-stop-destination for all the brides-to-be. While in an interview with Pinkvilla, Sonam repudiated the rumours of her marriage. She said, "In my 10 years long career, I have never spoken about my personal life." The lovebirds have never spoken about their relationship, but their PDAs are the validation of their status.
Sonam and Rhea are one of the most fashionable sisters in the Bollywood industry. And just like an overexcited sister, Rhea Kapoor is also on cloud nine for her sister’s wedding and has started planning for the big day. According to a source, “Sonam’s wedding will be a grand affair and, although, Rhea is quite a diva, she wants to be at her fittest during the celebration. Goes without saying, she is elated at the match and has begun eating right and is working out to get the svelte figure. She determined to be in perfect shape.” The reports also indicate that Rhea is planning a surprise for her sister and jiju. Sonam loves travelling in the lap of luxury, so her doting sister wants to ensure that there’s a perfect exotic honeymoon planned for them. Rhea also wants that Sonam gets no hint of what top-class luxury retreat she is planning for her.
For the uninitiated ones, Sonam and Anand’s relationship came into limelight at Akshay Kumar’s Rustom success party in 2016. The much-in-love couple is often spotted shopping and travelling together. They are also seen spending time with family and friends, flirting with each other on social media and whatnot that a couple does. Anand is a Delhi-based businessman, who is the Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd.’s Business Development in-charge, CEO at Bhane and the director of Camp SMA Pvt Ltd. He is also an entrepreneur and a model.
The source close to the couple said, “April it is and in Jodhpur. Sonam and Anand will marry this summer in what is going to be a small, private wedding with 300 odd guests. Although the couple has warded off all rumours about getting married saying celebrity watchers were mistaking the family’s preparations for her cousin Mohit Marwah’s upcoming wedding for her own nuptials but they can barely hide it any longer.”
Professionally, Sonam has too much on her plate. Here's what she said in an interview earlier, "Veere Di Wedding will release in May and then before that I have Padman and then Dutt too, where do I have time for anything else? I will soon begin shooting for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's next in February, March."
