Sonam K Ahuja and Anand Ahuja had become each other’s forever on May 8, 2018. Sonam and Anand are one of those couples, who are managing their long-distance relationship and now marital life very beautifully. In an interview with the Filmfare magazine, Anand had shared how their long-distance relationship works and had said, “When it comes to marriage, small things matter a lot. We eat meals together, even if we are in different time zones, on Skype. Anand S Ahuja had once blamed Sonam K Ahuja for spoiling their first wedding anniversary plans. In an interaction with MensXP, Anand had revealed, “It's funny. Sonam is always messing on my plans. Last year, she had canned right after the wedding. We didn't do a honeymoon. We did a really short one in Japan. This year, we were again planning to go to Japan but then her 'Zoya Factor' schedule is there and it has changed a bit. We are not going in June, but we will go after her birthday. We are so fortunate that with our schedules, we travel so much and get to spend time. We will be in London for the anniversary. London is a little break for her. We will surely do a Japan trip at the end of the year."
After their wedding, Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor had added each other's initials to their names. In an interview with Firstpost, Sonam had talked about adding her husband’s surname to her name, and Anand adding her name into his. She had stated, "Anand and I had a very long conversation you know, and we obviously want to have kids eventually, and he had this one friend who had a very long name, his mother’s name, father’s name, blah blah blah. I said, see anyways it’s a patriarchal concept, I have my father’s last name, I don’t have my mother’s name, and I want to be part of your family as well, and he wanted to be a part of mine.”
Sonam K Ahuja and Anand Ahuja are very passionate about their professional life and support each other and their decisions related to work commitments. In an interview with Vogue magazine, Sonam had once shared, “It’s nice making a home together. Anand is so encouraging when it comes to my work that he didn’t blink when I told him I was flying to Cannes two days after the wedding or that I was getting into promotions straightaway. There was no argument, just acceptance—you gotta do what you gotta do. But he posed one question to me: ‘If it was me who had to go to a work meeting right after the wedding, what would you do?’ I said I’ll kill you.
