Sonali Bendre’s husband, Goldie Behl too made her birthday a beautiful memory by penning a heartfelt wish for her. For the unversed, Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl perfectly defy societies’ caste norms. She is a Maharashtrian mulgi and he is a Punjabi munda, and after hopelessly falling in love with each other, the two had tied the knot on November 12, 2002. The couple was blessed with a baby boy, Ranveer Behl on August 11, 2005, and we are in love with this cute family.
Taking to his IG handle on January 1, 2020, Goldie Behl shared an inside picture from Sonali Bendre’s 46th birthday party. Along with the picture, he penned a beautiful wish for her, calling her his inspiration. His wish can be read as “My inspiration my courage my love... happy birthday @iamsonalibendre.” In the picture, we can see Sonali happily posing inside a tent with a ‘Happy Birthday’ banner in the background. It was in the year 2018 when Sonali was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and had spent the larger part of the year in New York, undergoing treatment. The actress was determined to not let cancer ruin her life and to boost her confidence was her husband, Goldie, who was standing like a rock with her. He had ensured that Sonali only looks at the positive sides of life and inspires people. In the process, the actress had bravely posted a bald picture on her IG handle during her cancer phase, and a wave of happiness and worries had gone through among her fans and friends. Earlier in a conversation with SpotboyE, Sonali Bendre was asked if she had consulted with her husband, Goldie Behl before putting out the bald picture. Sonali had shared how her husband had motivated her not to be shy about it and had replied, “We were talking about it. Goldie used to, in fact, say that why are you being shy about it. He used to say I need to own it and that I look fabulous without my hair as well. Today, he tells me that ‘you should not grow your hair back, the short hair suits you very much’. My husband has been an amazing support.”
In an event in May 2019, Sonali had opened up about her cancer battle and how her husband, Goldie Behl was a pillar of strength for her till the end. She had explained, "Goldie has been my rock and pillar of strength to help me fight cancer. Thank God, I decided to get married to him. My mother always told me that human being matters more. Of course, there are times when you realise material things are also important, which gets you the treatment in the US, but even that cannot give you the joy the family gives and sees you through it.
