She is a Maharashtrian mulgi and he is a Punjabi brat, but as they say when it has to happen, it will happen. They met, fallen in love and had tied the knot on November 12, 2002. On August 11, 2005, the beautiful couple had become proud parents to a baby boy, Ranveer Behl.
On August 11, 2020, Ranveer Behl turned 15 and his parents, Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl penned adorable birthday wishes for their ‘sonshine’. Sonali took to her IG handle and shared a monochrome picture of Ranveer facing his back to the camera. Along with the picture, the doting mommy wrote, “And all I need is you! Today, tomorrow and everyday thereafter... happy birthday @rockbehl #GrowingUpTooFast.” On the other hand, Goldie shared adorable pictures with Ranveer and wrote, “15 years and growing (taller than me) each day. Happiest birthday @rockbehl. To an amazing year and life ahead! #BirthdayBoy #AllGrownUp.”
Last year, on Ranveer’s 14th birthday, the star parents had penned heartfelt notes for their baby boy. While Sonali had captioned her pictures with the birthday boy as “Happy happy birthday @rockbehl! Yes the time has come when you're soon going to be awkward with any kind of public displays of affection from your mother so I'm going to milk it for as long as I can! Happy 14th my baby boy! Love you loads” Goldie had posted a slo-mo video and had written, “As you slide into another year of your life, may you dive into newer adventures, ride the tide with confidence and may waves of happiness & success always come your way causing a ripple effect! The year 2018 and 2019 had proved to be the toughest phase for the Bendre-Behl clan as Sonali was diagnosed with cancer and it was the support of her family which had helped her fight the battle. Sonali’s son, Ranveer was a strong pillar of strength for his mother and had dealt with the news with utmost maturity. In an interview with JioSaavn podcast, Raising Parents, Sonali had talked about her relationship with her son, Ranveer. She had shared, "I am not my child’s friend and don’t think I need to be. I am his parent and why can’t I be a friendly parent and have a great time together. There are certain things he will speak with his father, with his aunts, with his friends, with his grandparents, there needs to be an outlet for healthy relationships." Sonali had further added, "I tell my kid ‘you know technology more than I do, but however grown-up you might be, your brain is not fully formed and might not be able to process the emotional part of it’, and that’s where parents come in.
