Sonakshi Sinha once commented on why actresses’ success doesn’t convert to monetary gain

Walking in the footsteps of her father, Sonakshi Sinha has carved a niche for herself. However, she too, faced pay disparity in the film industry, just like many other actresses. In an interaction with News18, Sonakshi opened up about that how actresses in the film industry aren’t given equivalent pay for their success, stardom and hard work. She revealed feeling bad when her efforts don’t get reciprocated even after the performance that she provides. Sonakshi said:

“It's not easy and it doesn't feel right sometimes. When filmmakers approach you, they know that you bring something to the table. But when it comes to the money conversation, everybody just wants an actress, particularly, to reduce her fee."
