Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello quickly became the talk of the town when they confirmed their relationship back in 2014. The Modern Family actress and the Magic Mike actor first met each other at an event in the White House. Their love story was nothing short of a fairy tale, from proposing by going down on one knee to PDA moments on red carpets, they had it all.
But on July 17, 2023, Sofia and Joe decided to part ways. Throughout the years, Sofia Vergara, 51, has gained recognition for her acting skills and role as a judge on America's Got Talent. She has an eventful romantic life, having been married twice, once to Joe Gonzalez and later to the American actor, Joe Manganiello.

As the couple call it quits, here's everything to know about the relationship of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello.
Joe and Sofia got acquainted at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in 2014 through her former co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. At that time, Sofia was engaged to Nick Loeb, but the two later parted ways. In a brief interview that followed the event, Joe commented on how enthralled he had been with Sofia. He mentioned:
“There was a picture someone snapped at the White House Correspondents’ dinner where they caught me looking at Sofia Vergara’s butt. When you talk about being manipulated, that’s what I’m talking about. It’s like a moment of Zen. There is nothing in my brain.”

As per reports, Joe contacted Sofia's Modern Family co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson to get her phone number after Sofia and Nick Loeb had broken up. Since Sofia had recently broken up, she was a little reluctant to go on a date with Joe.
In fact, she attempted to persuade them that it wouldn't work out on their first date, with little success, of course. Jesse mentioned this incident during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. She said:
“When she broke up with her fiancé at the time, Joe — like, immediately, the moment it was out in the world — called me and was, like: ‘I need her number.’ And then I called Sofia, and I was, like, ‘Can I give Joe your number?’ And she was, like, ‘Ay, no!’ … but like, wanting me to give the number: ‘Oh no, you go ahead, okay, okay.’ And so I did the number exchange, and he took over from there.”
Sofia told PEOPLE in August 2014 that she is at a very happy place romantically and it couldn't be any better. In an interview with Extra, Sofia confirmed that she and Joe Manganiello were dating. She said:
"You know I'm just having a great time and it's a special time in my life and I'm trying not to think too much about it. It's something very new, so we will see what happens."
When questioned if her family in Miami approved of Joe after she had introduced him to them, Sofia responded that there was nothing not to approve of.
Just six months after the pair started dating, rumours of an upcoming engagement started making rounds after Joe was spotted in a jewellery store in Los Angeles. During a holiday trip to Hawaii, Joe had an elaborate proposal prepared for the beach, but when photographers almost ruined the engagement, Joe changed the plans at the last minute. In the couple's suite, he made a Spanish marriage proposal. How heart-warming!

She was just 18 years old when she first tied the knot in 1990 and got divorced just two years after. The couple welcomed a son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, in 1991, the year before their divorce. Sofia’s first love story is not widely known because it happened before she became famous in the film and television industry.

A few fans of the couple speculated that there must be something wrong between them as the post did not look like it was written with love.
During her 51st birthday celebration in Italy with her friends, the Modern Family actress is seen without her wedding ring and her husband, Joe Manganiello. A source claimed that the couple has been experiencing some distance between them and are currently taking a break to contemplate their future.
Although they were spotted together in Hoboken, New Jersey, last month, Sofia recently visited Joe on the set of his film, Nonnas with Vince Vaughn.
After a seven-year marriage, Hollywood power couple Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have chosen to walk in separate ways. As they embark on this new chapter of their lives, they have requested that the public respect their privacy.
