Ever heard of love that blossomed mid-air? Yes! Such is the story of the superbly talented Masaan actress, Shweta Tripathi. The Haraamkhor actress is all set to tie the knot with actor-rapper Chaitnya Sharma, who prefers to be called SlowCheeta. When Shweta was enquired about how the adorable duo started dating, she shared with IANS, “We met because both of us were stepping in for other actors. So, from Bombay (Mumbai), we met in Delhi to perform and hardly spoke throughout. On our way back, we were seated next to each other. It was a 5 a.m. flight, so obviously the plan was to doze off. But we started talking and that was that”. The couple is looking forward to tie the knot on June 29 this year.
What began as a conversation atop the clouds, has transformed into a soon-to-be nuptial bond. Chaitnya is five years younger to Shweta but she says that even if she is 32, she looks younger to her age. When asked about the ‘big’ proposal, Shweta cheerfully shared, “He proposed at a place called Cuckoo Club, which is a performing place in Mumbai. He wanted to do it on stage because that's how we met- for a play. He had told me he has a new play, so I went to see that... But it was the proposal.” Check out their adorable proposal-video:
Chaitnya also sports a tattoo comprising of Shweta’s name and even delivered a short rap on the love of his life. This is how the rap goes, “They say you fall in love, and I fell hard, from about 36,000 feet! Up in the air, into her heart and she already had mine. Relations start from the ground upwards, mine started in the sky. We spoke about whales and the ocean and everything we know. She found me, and I found Nemo.” Well, we can’t help but gush!
Shweta has been working under the limelight for over many years. One of her early work in television was playing a character called Zenia Khan in the Disney Channel original series, Kya Mast Hai Life which was a big hit. She has been a part of innumerous short films, ads and has won the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in Masaan in 2016. As per reports, she will be seen in an upcoming web series Mirzapur, apart from feature films Gone Kesh and Cargo. As for Chaitnya, he launched his latest song Kripya Dhaan De from the film High Jack, last week. He was one of the rappers to have worked with Bollywood star Ranveer Singh for a single. Apart from this, he has worked on two songs with Bollywood’s one of the most favourite singer- Papon, for a feature film Karwaan.
