Shweta and Rohit had tied the knot last year on December 13, 2018, as per Bengali and Marwadi rituals. Followed by a grand wedding reception at Ramada Plaza, Mumbai on December 20, 2018, which was attended by their friends and colleagues. A report in The Times of India had revealed that the duo has been dating each other for four years and had gottend engaged in 2017. And it was also stated that filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap had played the cupid in getting the two together.
Today, on December 9, 2019, Shweta took to her Instagram handle and left everyone shocked with her separation news just before their first-year wedding anniversary. She posted a picture of the long note that can be read as "Hi everyone, Rohit Mittal and I have mutually decided to part our ways and end our marriage. After months of contemplation, we arrived at this decision a few months ago in each other's best interest, as individuals. Not every book is supposed to be read cover to cover, that doesn't mean the book is bad, or one can't read, some things are best left unfinished. Thank you Rohit for the irreplaceable memories and always inspiring me. Have a great life ahead, forever your cheerleader."
Coming back to Shweta and Rohit's love story, a source close to the couple had revealed their love story in an interview with The Times of India. A friend had shared, "Shweta and Rohit have been in a relationship for four years and moved in together two years ago. They get along really well, are best of friends and it will be great to see them getting married soon." They also revealed that it was Shweta, who had popped the question, "Gone are the days when women wait for men to make the first move. Though the feeling was mutual, it was Shweta who proposed to Rohit in Goa first. He then proposed her in Pune (his hometown)."
Ever since Shweta had exchanged the wedding vows, we haven't seen her indulge in any social media PDA with her husband.
