Royal Challengers Bangalore has ended their journey in Indian Premier League 2023 by losing a match against Gujrat Titans. Well, this is a sport and winning and losing is a part of it, but some people who tag them as true fans of their favourite teams sometimes tend to forget the same when they take to their social media handles and start to bully and abuse almost anyone without a moment of thinking. Gujrat Titans' batsman, Shubman Gill and his sister, Shahneel Gill are subjected to online abuse as soon as RCB could not make it to the qualifiers of IPL 2023.
Taking to her IG handle, Shahneel posted many pictures where she could be seen in the stadium and enjoying the match. Now no sooner did GT (Gujrat Titans) knock out RCB(Royal Challengers Bangalore) of the IPL, courtesy of Shubman Gill's winning scores, the so-called fans of RCB started flooding the comment section of Shahneel's post with mean and hateful comments. A part of the users started abusing Shubman and Shahneel, and it is absolutely disgusting to witness such hatred.

However, such abuse went too far, and almost everyone started noticing it, and they came to support Shubman and Shahneel. Sharing such a nasty incident on Twitter, one part of the netizens started slamming so-called fans of RCB and expressed their displeasure. A Tweet can be read as "Look at the tweets today for Shubhman Gill and his sister. Man this is why I hated when Kohli - Anushka pardoned that "IIT graduate" who gave rape threats to Vamika. Some of these guys need to be behind bars and careers ruined. He should have been made an example to stop all this." Another user took to Twitter and wrote, "Some of the sick kohli fans abusing Gill & his family(especially his sister) This toxicity and the negative energy creates by these sk called fans is also one reason for the king to not see the light GILL is the Future superstar of Indian cricket Agree or CRY forever sickos." Shubman Gill performed outstandingly against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 21, 2023. With an unbeatable score of 104 in 52 balls, Shubman Gill started winning millions of hearts. With five 4s and eight 6s, he remained not out and proved his outstanding skills. However, the night was in the name of the young cricketer who kind of took GT to register their name to the qualifiers. After the match, Shubman Gill shared that he is in good form and it is about to get a start, and then it will convert to the big ones. He also shared that one must keep the intent and keep applying themselves, keep the belief, and then it will be done. Elaborating on the same, he said:
"I am in good form, it’s about getting a start and then converting it into a big one. In the first half of the IPL, I was missing out on those big ones. I was getting a lot of 40s and 50s. Thankfully, it’s all working out for me in the business end of the IPL. You need to keep playing shots in T20 cricket. You have to keep the intent and keep applying yourself, keep the belief."
