There is no better joy than welcoming a new life in the world. Apart from marriage and relationship news, baby arrivals make the fans happiest. One such celeb couple who entered the parents’ club is Shreyas Talpade and Deepti Talpade. After 14 years of marital bliss, Shreyas and Deepti became the proud parents of a baby girl on May 4, 2018. Shreyas and Deepti walked down the aisle on December 31, 2004, and embraced parenthood with a little angel whom they lovingly named, Aadya. The couple became parents via surrogacy and are on cloud nine ever since her arrival. On June 4, 2018, Shreyas revealed his daughter’s name in an Instagram post, captioning it, “Time flies...a month already to our little princess Aadya... a month already since our luckiest trip to Hongkong. Thank you @cathaypacificIN #GuidelineTravels #HolidayKraft for all the help. You are the BEST.”
And now after revealing his daughter’s name, Shreyas shared the first picture of his little baby girl, Aadya. Posting a black and white picture of him cuddling his little baby in his arms, Shreyas captioned the pic as, “Cannot wait to get back to you my love. See you next week. Looks like Shreyas is back from the paternity break and had to leave his daughter for a while to finish his professional commitments. Shreyas and Deepti were on a vacation in Hong Kong when the surrogate mother went into labour and their little one arrived earlier than the due date. The couple was given a date between May 10 and 12, so they flew off to Hong Kong where they were scheduled to go on a cruise. Speaking about why they chose surrogacy, Shreyas revealed that it was their doctor who told them that it was the best option. He beamed, “And it’s one of the best decisions of my life.” Further talking about his newborn daughter, Shreyas gushed, “During Iqbal, I remember Nagesh (director Nagesh Kukunoor) telling me, ‘This is your first success so cherish every moment.’ That’s exactly what I’m doing with the baby, living every moment with her. All these years, I would ask myself if I’m ready for a child and end up feeling apprehensive and nervous. Speaking about Aadya’s resemblance to Deepti, he shared, “I think she looks more like Deepti with her round face but her features are changing every day.” He further added about his paternity break, “I was to start shooting from May 15 but luckily for me the shoot has been pushed to June so I’ve got a month to focus on my baby. I’ve always wanted a daughter so I could buy her dolls, teddy bears and plenty of pretty dresses. I’m already planning what I can buy her when I go shooting. My wife thinks I’m more stressed out than her, but I’m just happy and want to give our daughter the best.”
On June 17, 2018, Shreyas celebrated his first Father’s Day with Aadya and it was extra special for him. Speaking about how he will celebrate this special day, Shreyas stated earlier, “I am glad to be celebrating Father’s Day this year. Deepti and I will plan something so that when Aadya grows up and looks back at this day, she will realise the efforts I put in to make it special. I can now completely relate to all the dads in the world and most importantly, I now understand what my parents must have gone through while bringing me up.”
Now over a month of Aadya’s birth, Shreyas said that the feeling is finally sinking in. He was quoted as saying, “I was completely disoriented during the first week. But, now I have understood what fatherhood is. The more I try to make a routine the more it goes out of order. So, I have decided to go with the flow. About how life changed after the arrival of their daughter, Shreyas informed, “Well, the way she sleeps is exactly like Deepti. Her attitude and temperament is just like Deepti too. The funny part is, habits of Deepti that would annoy me are completely okay to me when Aadya does it. So, it is true that every little girl has her father wrapped around her little finger.”
The Golmaal series actor further mentioned, “At this moment I am the hyper one and Deepti is the relaxed one. However, I want to be like a friend to her when she grows up. I want to give her the freedom and open support that my parents gave me. I would want her to come to me and share everything with me openly. I will want to make sure that the environment she is working in be safe for her.
