Popular television celeb couple, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim make for one of the most loved celebrity couples in telly town. The kindness that their nature boasts of, the respect that they shower on each other and everyone around, everything is the reflection of their parents and the way they have nurtured them. Birthdays and anniversaries are such days when we can reciprocate our love for our parents. Similarly, Dipika and Shoaib leave no stone unturned to make their parents’ special day memorable.
Before that, let us tell you, Shoaika (as their fans love to call them) walked down the aisle on February 22, 2018, in a desi style wedding in Shoaib’s hometown in Bhopal. It was a complete traditional Muslim wedding ceremony, which is commonly known as Nikaah. Yesterday, on June 24, 2019, it was Shoaib’s parents’ wedding anniversary, and it was celebrated with all dhoom-dhaam. Shoaib, Dipika and Saba Ibrahim (Shoaib’s sister), all three took to their respective Instagram handles and wished their parents on their wedding anniversary. Shoaib took to his official Instagram handle and shared a lovely snap with them and wrote, “Happy anniversary to ammi papa.” On the other hand, Dipika shared another picture from the celebrations wherein the lovely couple can be seen cutting the cake. Along with the same, she penned, “They spread only love!!! On April 27, 2019, it was Dipika Kakar's saasu maa's birthday and the former had made it a special one for her. Firstly, Dipika Kakar had taken to her Instagram handle and shared the following picture with her mother-in-law, and had wished her by writing, "She is the Best!!!!! And I am the luckiest that she is My Ammi. A very happy birthday to Ammi. She never fails to enlighten our lives with that lovely Smile!!!! Love you Ammi." In fact, last year, on April 27, 2018, Dipika had written on Instagram, “It's her Birthday and how much ever hard we try, we will never find for a gift for her that's better than her. She is the best gift we all have in our lives. My inspiration. My idol. My love. AMMI. Wish u a very happpyyyy birthday... thank you for making me a part of your world. Dipika shares a very cordial and close bond with her mom-in-law, so much so, that she had launched her own fashion label and named it after her saasu maa’s name, ‘Sitara’. Talking about the same, the actress had once shared in an interview, "The fashion line is named after our Ammi's name and she is the inspiration behind my clothing line. My sister-in-law was the one who gave me the idea to turn into a stylist. She told me since I have a very different and elegant style, I can venture into having a clothing line for girls who can wear the type of clothes you do. I am enjoying playing with fabrics, colours, etc. Earlier, I was doing it only for myself and our family but now I have decided to take it one step further as a business." Not just this, even after winning the Bigg Boss 12 prize money, Dipika had dedicated the entire sum of winning amount to her mother-in-law. When asked what she would do with the prize money, the sanskari bahu was quoted as saying, “I am going to buy a house for my Ammi (Shoaib's mother). House-hunting is the first thing on my agenda.”
Dipika had converted to Islam to get married to the love of her life. Sharing about the decision of entering the inter-caste marriage, the Kahaan Hum Khaan Tum actress was quoted as saying, “I feel that when you are a celebrity you are constantly under the scanner and there are people who love you, but then there are also people who try to bring you down. We have always taken decisions in life only keeping our family in mind, if they are happy and fine then rest of the world doesn't matter to us. I don't consider myself a celebrity, we are very simple people and we like to lead a simple life.”
In a media interaction long back, Dipika and Shoaib had revealed about the time when they had realised their love for each other. Dipika had retorted, “When Shaoib quit SSK we still met and kept in touch, but when he went to Bhopal for a month and he was completely out of sight that's when we realized that it is love. The toughest part for me was when he left to shoot in Bikaner for 40 days in 2015 that was the most difficult phase.” On the other hand, Shoaib had agreed with her and had added, “The same 40 days played an important role in bringing Dipika closer to my family. Expressing how life changed after the wedding, she had stated, “I can't put the feelings in words. I have noticed the change from the day I have got married. I initially thought it's ok Shoaib and I have been in a relationship for so long, but no things have changed. Maybe the way I look at him, the respect towards him has grown. It's a priceless feeling.”
