We all know, Namrata Shirodkar is a brilliant actress and she is the wife of Telugu superstar, Mahesh Babu. But not many remember that Namrata Shirodkar and Shilpa Shirodkar are granddaughters of veteran actress, Meenakshi Shirodkar. Namrata, who is quite active on social media has once shared a throwback picture of her family and captioned it as, “My roots, my reality, my people. The real reason for who I am today. Feeling the love, gratitude. Blessed by my makers.”
On January 22, 2020, Namrata turned a year older and her sister, Shilpa took to her Instagram handle and posted an adorable birthday wish. She shared a happy picture with her sister, and wrote, "Happiest happiest happiest birthday chin. You are My Strength. Thank you for being there in your own unique way. Last year, Shilpa had shared a candid picture with her sister, Namrata and had written, "My strength in every possible way...My sister, my backbone. ..Happy happy birthday my chin... god bless you with all that you have always wanted and much much more... I love you so so so much."
Coming back to Namrata Shirodkar's love story with Mahesh Babu, it was in the year, 2000, when she had first met the love of her life on the sets of her first Telegu film, Vamsi. By the time, the shoot was wrapped up they had fallen for each other. In the year, 2005, the couple had tied the knot. In an earlier interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Namrata had revealed her views on being called the force behind Mahesh's career. She had said, “You know, people believe Mahesh does what I ask him to. That’s not true. He may look shy and gentle, but, he knows his mind. All his career decisions are taken by him, although he does share the plot and script idea with me casually.
