On January 25, 2020, Shilpa Shetty Kundra took off to Shirdi to seek blessings of Sai Baba. Shilpa was accompanied by her husband, Raj Kundra, son, Viaan Raj Kundra, mother, Sunanda Shetty, sister, Shamita Shetty and mother-in-law, Usha Rani Kundra. The entire family looked adorable as they posed for a picture. While addressing her visit to media from outside the temple, she stated that she does not visit holy places to seek anything but only to express her gratitude for whatever is bestowed to her.
On October 23, 2019, Raj Kundra had posted a much-in-love picture with his stunning wife, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. He had revealed why he calls Shilpa his girlfriend, instead of his wife. Raj had captioned the picture, “Blessed to have this HOT angel in my life! People ask me why do I call her my Girlfriend and not my wife I just feel that marriage should not change a title or the way you feel for someone. Coming back to their love story, Shilpa had met Raj for a business meeting where she was promoting a perfume brand and Raj was helping her with the promotions. With time, the two were seen spending a lot of time together which gave fodder to rumour mills and speculations their blossoming love had emerged in the media. Raj was a married man before he had met Shilpa. Raj’s earlier marriage to Kavita turned out to be ugly in the love story of Raj and Shilpa and after all the allegations and blame game, the much-in-love couple had decided to tie the knot on November 22, 2009.
In a throwback interview with The Times of India, Shilpa had talked about her equation with Raj and how he is a doting daddy to their son, Viaan Raj Kundra. She had said, “I met Raj at a time in my life where I was riding this wave with the Big Brother success. He lived in London with his parents who had told him about me, ‘Yeh Shilpa Shetty aayee hai aur usne Indians ka naam ooncha kiya hai.’ He came to my hotel and the first thing was that he came and touched my mother’s feet even though he was a Londoner.
