Children are the shadow of their parents and learn everything from them. Almost after three years of their wedding, Shilpa and Raj had embraced parenthood and had welcomed their first child, Viaan Raj Kundra on May 21, 2012. And since then, Viaan is winning our hearts with his talents. From his baking skills to farming sessions, Shilpa and Raj make sure that Viaan learns everything and stays grounded. On February 21, 2020, Shilpa had surprised all her fans with the announcement of embracing motherhood for the second time via surrogacy as she had welcomed her little angel, Samisha Shetty Kundra. No matter how busy Shilpa and Raj are, they make sure to spend quality time with their children.
On January 26, 2021, Raj Kundra took to his IG handle and shared a video, where he took his son, Viaan to distribute blankets to the poor and needy. In the video, Raj revealed that he got his son out of bed at 6 a.m. and how it is necessary to teach your children the importance of a roof on your head, food on your plate, and a nice comfortable bed to sleep. Raj captioned his video as “One good deed a day. Values we need to teach our kids. We can’t take things for granted.”
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had talked about giving a normal upbringing to Viaan Raj Kundra. When she was asked what a normal life for a celebrity kid is, she had stated, "I’m from non-film background and I come from a middle-class family, where our holidays were spent in Matheran, not London. Today, I am not apologetic about being able to take Viaan on a vacation to London. I make it a point that he understands and appreciates everything he has. She had revealed that whenever Viaan wants something extra, he digs out his piggy bank. Revealing the beasic rules they follow with Viaan, Shilpa had stated, "If he wants something extra, he has to dig into his piggy box for it. He has to pick his own plate and take it to the kitchen. We follow some basic rules to ensure he understands that everything in life has to be earned, and nothing and no one can be taken for granted. He also knows that he has to adjust with the rest of things that are a part of his life because he’s our son."
Shilpa Shetty Kundra had featured on the cover of Vogue India's November 2020 issue. In a chat with the magazine, the superfit mommy had hilariously talked about her son, Viaan Raj Kundra's future wife and her future daughter-in-law. She had said, "I always tell my son if your wife is good to me she might get my 20-carat diamond, otherwise she will have to make do with some smaller ones!"
