Sister of VJ Anusha Dandekar, Shibani Dandekar had begun her career working as a television anchor in American television. Besides working as a model and singer, Shibani has also hosted several Indian shows. Shibani is dating Bollywood actor, producer, director and singer Farhan Akhtar since 2018. On her birthday, Shibani gave an adorable surprise to Farhan.
For the unversed, Farhan and Shibani’s dating rumours had begun when Shibani had posted a picture of herself on her IG handle where she was seen walking hand-in-hand with a mystery man. The face of her man was not visible and only his back could be seen. Speculations began, and it was on September 1, 2018, when Farhan had shared the same picture on his Instagram account which had proved that the two are in a relationship and are pretty serious about each other.

On August 27, 2021, Shibani turned a year older, and Farhan penned a heartmelting wish for her. He took to his IG handle and shared a monochrome picture with her, with their arms wrapped around each other. Along with the picture, Farhan wrote, "With all my heart... happy birthday Shu. Love you." On the other hand, Shibani took to her IG stories and shared a picture of her neck with Farhan's name tattooed on it. As a birthday gesture, the gorgeous actress got her soulmate's name inked. Atop the picture, she wrote, "Inked by the best."
Last year, on Shibani's birthday, Farhan had shared a cute twinning picture of the duo, where she was seen leaning on him. Along with the picture, he had written, "You’ll always have my shoulder to lean on. Happy birthday @shibanidandekar... love you."

After the release of Farhan's much-awaited film, Toofan, Shibani had penned an appreciation note for him. Sharing a picture from the sets of the film, Shibani had written, "Watching your journey so closely has been nothing short of a privilege. You went to unimaginable lengths to get into the skin of the character, you didn’t give up till you found his authentic voice, you took your mind to the darkest of places, and you tested your body every single day."
Sending her wishes and love on the release of his dream movie, Shibani had continued, "There was blood, sweat, punches, literal blows but you hit back with persistence, endurance, grit, resilience. Slowly the lines blurred and you literally morphed into AJJU BHAI aka AZIZ ALI BOXER! Today, on your big day, I want you know that I am sending you all my love.
