Toofan actor, Farhan Akhtar and his girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar’s wedding rumours often surface on social media. Earlier, the couple was speculated to tie the knot in 2020. However, that never really happened. Now, Shibani has opened up on her wedding plans with Farhan. For the unversed, Farhan Akhtar had ended his 17-year long marriage with a hairstylist, Adhuna Bhabani, and together they have two daughters, Shakya Akhtar and Akira Akhtar.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s dating rumours had begun when the model-cum-VJ-cum-actress, had posted a picture on her Instagram, walking hand-in-hand with a mystery man. The face of her man was not visible in the picture, starting the speculations of their dating. Later, it was on September 1, 2018, when Farhan had shared the same picture on his Instagram account, making their relationship official.

In a conversation with Bollywood Life, while promoting her film, Love In Times Of Corona, Shibani Dandekar talked about her wedding plans with her beau, Farhan Akhtar. When asked, “When you guys are planning to get married? Is your wedding on the cards soon?” Shibani replied, “We haven’t discussed this. Maybe this is another thing I will talk to him about.”
On January 9, 2021, Farhan Akhtar had turned a year older, and his girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar, had penned a note of love for him. Sharing a picture from their beach vacation, Shibani had written, "To the love of my life, my best friend, my ludo partner ... wouldn't know how to be on this journey without you... lucky to have you holding my hand and watching my back through it all .. you are a beautifully talented genius of an artist and the most incredible human I have known .. thank you for being all mine .. happy birthday my Foo @faroutakhtar."

On Shibani Dandekar's birthday on August 27, 2020, her boyfriend, Farhan Akhtar, had also sweetly wished his bae. He had shared a beautiful twinning-in-black picture with Shibani. The actress could be seen leaning on her beau's shoulder. Farhan had written a sweet note for his girlfriend, Shibani, in the caption, which could be read as "You'll always have my shoulder to lean on. Happy birthday, @shibanidandekar .. love you."
Shibani and Farhan had spent the Lockdown 2020 together, and when the unlocking had begun in the nation, the couple had met with his family. On June 21, 2020, Shabana Azmi had taken to her IG handle and had shared a video of the meal fest organised by her and her husband, Javed Akhtar. In the video, Shabana was seen cheering and celebrating her family and friends' reunion while recording the video. Shibani was sitting right next to Farhan Akhtar, who was sitting next to his father, Javed Akhtar in the video. Along with the video, Shabana had written, “When with family its always about food!”
On the work front, Shibani Dandekar will be next seen in the film, Love In Times Of Corona, whereas, Farhan Akhtar’s film, Toofan has received appreciation from the audience!
