Confirming the news of dating Varun, Divya in an interview with SpotboyE had shared, "Well yes, we are a couple now. We are very much dating. I am glad that I am holding his hand and fighting the world. Our relationship will only get bigger and better and we plan to take it to the next level soon. It will just not stick for fun. Though we haven't discussed on all this, but I can tell you that we are serious about each other.”
And now, the finalist of Ace of Space, Shehzad told SpotboyE that he feels Varun and Divya were already a couple before the show. He was quoted as saying, "I genuinely feel inka affair show se pehle se tha. I have said in this show also many a times that maybe they have not made it official but they were as good as a couple from before the show. Nothing big happened in the show that can make Varun realise that Divya is the girl for him.”
And further went on to add, “During a task, when I was turned a host in a humorous way, I said that in a very subtle way that Varun switching from Chetna to Divya clearly indicated it was an intentional thing because he always used to say a line 'Show ke baad bhi life hai'. I believe their relationship is honest, but I don't feel it was created on the show. I have a big doubt that they were already in a relationship". In an interaction earlier, Divya also threw some more light on her equation with Varun. Divya was quoted as saying, "Varun and I used to share an extremely great bond, outside also. Locked inside, you are not distracted. We are alone and thinking about only our lives. And if I am holding somebody's hand after that, I am sure that it's for forever.”
Varun, on the other hand, highlighted his love story with Divya and shared some inside details. The former Splitsvilla contestant said, "I owe Divya and my togetherness to Chetna Pande. If she wouldn't have been there, I wouldn’t have got this realisation. He further added, “She understood me really well and I used to share a lot about Divya to her and she realized that it wasn’t just friendship between us two. And I am glad to have Chetna in my life as she was the main reason for my and Divya's togetherness".
