Television actress, Tunisha Sharma’s death came as a big shock for her colleagues, friends, family, and fans. The 20-year-old actress committed suicide on December 24, 2022, on the sets of her show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul. The actress was reportedly under depression after her breakup with actor, Sheezan Khan and took the drastic step and hanged herself. Since then, Sheezan has been in police custody.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Dr Honey Mittal of F and hospital revealed that Tinisha was brought to the hospital by a few people, and Sheezan was one of them. The doctor further stated that the actor kept requesting the doctor to save Tunisha anyhow and was crying continuously. As per the doctor:
“On Saturday around 4.10 pm, about 3-4 people arrived at the hospital with Tunisha Sharma. Her co-actor Sheezan Khan was also with them and he told me to save her anyhow. He was crying continuously. But her body was cold and when we checked her eyes there was no movement.”

The actor further added that they did all the confirmatory tests but found her dead already. Stating how Sheezan was inconsolable, doctor Mittal shared:
“We also did a confirmatory test and an ECG but we found a flat line and declared her dead. We also found a strangulation mark on her neck during the physical examination. Someone strangulated her or she hanged herself. We informed the cops about the body. Khan was there late and crying continuously. He kept requesting me to save her. Tunisha was dead when she was brought to the hospital.”
Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan worked together in the show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul and were in a serious relationship with each other. However, the actor broke up with Tunisha 15 days back and admitted that he parted ways with her due to their different religion and huge age difference.
Soon after Tunisha’s death, her mother claimed that Sheezan Khan was the reason for her daughter’s death. Tunisha’s mother also claimed that Sheezan had multiple affairs and when Tunisha got to know about it, she went into depression and even got a panic attack. According to Tunisha’s mother, she couldn’t take Sheezan cheating on her and ended her life.

In the tragic turn of events, it was on December 24, 2022, when Tunisha Sharma ended her life. As per the police officials, the actress went to the washroom on the sets of her show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul and did not return for a long time. When the door was broken, she was found hanging. No suicide note was recovered, and the postmortem reports confirmed that the actress died due to suffocation.
Sheezan Khan has been charged with abetment to suicide under section 306 of IPC.
