Yes, you read that just right! As per a Pinkvilla report, Sharad Malhotra might walk down the aisle with Ripci, next month, in April 2019. The couple might get married in Mumbai itself. A SpotboyE report had earlier suggested that Sharad and Ripci have been spotted together many a times and now, rumours all over has it that the duo is all set to say ‘I do’ to each other soon!
In a 2018 interview with the TOI, Sharad shared some interesting views about marriage. Speaking about the same, he had stated, “I think I am marriage-phobic. If I have been with someone for two years or seven years, clearly I am not commitment-phobic. I am with the person, I love the person and it's all hunky-dory. In all my relationships, I have had some great moments, it's been fantastic. We have also fought like cats and dogs, but the kind of family I come from, I know where to draw the line.”
He had further added, “In a relationship, you have your good times and then you experience the bump and you don't know how to react. The topic of marriage comes up and you start stepping back and your partner wonders why. I don't blame them; they are right in feeling that way. Like I have said in the past, the fault is probably mine. I always fall short of taking that final step and that's something I need to rectify. I have to really work on that."
Further speaking about marriage plans in yet another interview, Sharad was once quoted as saying, "My mom has been pestering me. She really wants me to settle down now. I have been living alone for a long time now in the city. In fact, I feel I always got so busy in my professional pursuits that I did not focus on other things. I want to strike a balance in 2019. I don't mind an arranged marriage but let's see how things go. But then, it is not like my mom is flooding me with pictures of prospective girls."
For the uninitiated, the Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap actor was earlier in a 7-year-long relationship with Divyanka Tripathi. The couple had called it quits in 2015, post which, Divyanka went to marry Vivek Dahiya and is happily settled now. Post their breakup, Sharad had shared with a media portal, “When you are in love with that person you call him/her your world but when you get separated you start abusing them, this is wrong. If you are in love then express it and if you are not then respect that person. I try my best to not hurt people intentionally. Unintentionally, I have hurt many people many times." (Don't Miss! Speaking about his immaturity and breakup with Divyanka, Sharad had once revealed, “There’s not much I can say except that it was a beautiful relationship. But when the word ‘marriage’ popped up, I developed cold feet. It was a long time ago and I was quite immature. One gradually matures with time and experience. Yes, I have made mistakes. As human beings, we all make mistakes. I realise that now but unfortunately, it’s five years down the line. I should have realised it then, but no hard feelings. We have both moved on. She looks very happy and I wish her the very best.”
Post his breakup with Divyanka, Sharad was dating Splitsvilla fame, Pooja Bisht. She shared some interesting bits about their breakup with a portal and revealed, “Sharad started acting weird around six months ago when he suddenly became inattentive and disinterested. However, I assumed that it was because of stress at work; I couldn’t fathom that he was planning to end the relationship.”
She had further added, “He came and told me said that he is dev gan and I am rakshas gan. He said that according to his astrologer we shouldn't get married else something terrible will happen. I tried to reason with him that his astrologer has not told him the right things, but he wouldn"t listen. Woh toh Kasam TV serial ka story hai, usne mujhpe chipka diya. I even told him that what if I would prove that the dev gan and rakshas gan thing he is selling me is not true. You see, I am manushya gan and not rakshas gan. I asked him if I give him the facts, would he marry me? And you know what? He said, "No, I still can't marry you."”
Sharad, on the other hand, stated, “There were personal issues from my end. I tried to make the relationship work, but our differences were irrevocable.
