Later, Sharad found love in Splitsvilla 4 contestant, Pooja Bisht, but after planning to tie their two years of relationship in nuptial bond in 2019, they too parted their ways. Cupid has struck Sharad Malhotra once again, and this time without dating the girl for a long time, he is tying the knot with his Delhi-based designer girlfriend, Ripci Bhatia in April 2019. Sharad confirmed the same to Bombay Times, and was quoted as saying, “Yes, I am getting married in the third week of April in Mumbai.” When another media portal SpotboyE contacted Sharad’s ex, Pooja Bisht to comment on his wedding, she replied, “I don’t want to talk about it. Wasted enough time on Sharad, don’t want to waste more.”
After breaking up with Pooja Bisht, Sharad Malhotra confirmed the news to a media portal and had stated, “There were personal issues from my end. I tried to make the relationship work, but our differences were irrevocable. Pooja is a nice girl and it was great till it lasted. I wish her all the best.” Pooja revealed the real reason behind their split and stated, “Sharad started acting weird around six months ago when he suddenly became inattentive and disinterested. However, I assumed that it was because of stress at work; I couldn’t fathom that he was planning to end the relationship.”
In an interview with the SpotboyE, Pooja candidly spoke about her relationship with Sharad and what went wrong between them. When asked if she proposed marriage to Sharad, Pooja clarified, “I never asked him for marriage. In fact, he was asking me to marry him. Frankly, even I wouldn't be able to tell why he did what he did. Really, God knows what happened. But maybe like everything happens for good, I think this one too must be having its silver lining.”
When probed further, since how long he had been asking her for marriage, Pooja replied, “He has been asking me for marriage from Day 1. He even spoke to my mom about it--- and then vanished. Again, he popped up the same question after six months.” She further continued, “This was almost a repeated thing that was happening- he would ask for my hand and then after few days, say, 'No, I am not ready for marriage yet. When asked why she didn’t marry him as he kept asking her to do so, Pooja retorted, “If someone asks you to marry him and then changes his decision at the drop of a hat, why and how would you marry him? Aaj tak he hasn't called my mom after he disappeared following the interaction with her when he asked her for my hand. Would you believe it that just a month ago, he again asked me if I could marry him.” She further added, “I retorted: "I never asked you for marriage. I never asked you even for a commitment. Why are you doing this?" And then we called it a day.”
Revealing what her parents thought about her boyfriend Sharad, Pooja had said, “To be honest, when they came to know of my relationship with him, they told me: You know what he did to Divyanka na? Lekin maine unko bola, we all have different equations with different people and he should not be judged on his previous relationship.” She added, “Today? Today, my mom is very angry. FYI, we haven't matched kundlis from our side yet. Lekin khair abhi better hai khatam hi ho gaya.”
Divyanka Tripathi and Sharad Malhotra released a joint statement pertaining to their separation, which could be read as, “The decision of calling off the relationship is mutual. We had a beautiful journey and the most lovely memories are helping us part ways cordially. Yet, it’s a painful process and speculations only increase the pain. We request the media to be considerate. This is the final word on this subject and we won’t be talking about what went wrong in our relationship.
