This world has become a place when things go stale and one gets bored of a prolonged relationship very soon. In a place like this, if we find someone renewing their wedding vows on their 10th wedding anniversary, seriously, we can’t ask for more! Yes, we are talking about Geet fame, Shalini Kapoor and her hubby, Naagin 2 fame, Rohit Sagar, who recently completed a decade of togetherness.
Shalini, who is very new to Instagram, has most of the pictures with her hubby with adorable captions. And as we all know, social media PDA is so ‘in’ these days! Hence Shalini made most of her Instagram to showcase some PDA for her hubby on their wedding anniversary eve which gave goals to many. The adorable picture that she posted had the caption as, “Simple we.. Simple thought... Happy anniversary to us))))”.
Apart from this the couple did something super special which marked their happy entry into the 11th year. The couple went to a mandir and exchanged garlands, rather than throwing an anniversary bash. In an interview with the TOI, Shalini shared, “At a time when people are skeptical about getting married, we have completed 10 years together. In today’s scenario, it’s a milestone. We celebrated by going to the Siddhivinayak temple and seeking Bappa’s blessings. We also exchanged garlands and held a small puja, which was sudden decision. No plan seemed as exciting as expressing how much we dote on each other. We decided against throwing a party, as we are on a strict detox diet.”
Shalini further credits transparency behind the success of a marital bond. She further goes on to say, “Though there are no fixed formulas, it helps if you learn to appreciate whatever little your partner for you in his or her unique way. In an interview, Shalini had shared what makes for 10th anniversary unique for her. She had revealed, “We are completing 10 years of marriage on July 10 and that's what makes it unique. I think the secret to a happy married life is when you learn to smoothly switchover pedestals. Sometimes he would lead and sometimes me over day to do decisions as well as crucial ones. It's so amazing to walk hand in hand through thick and thin, summers and rains. God has been super kind and I can't thank Rohit enough for being such a supportive friend and partner. He made me a better human being over the period of time and I hope he feels the same for me”.
Her hubby Rohit, too shared, “I'm extremely thankful to Almighty for all these blissful years of our married life. I was honestly nervous when we got married because as I thought I am not cut out for one. Its Shalini's honesty and spirit towards this institution which made it happen. It's woman who makes a good husband and a good home and I think am extremely lucky to have her”.
When the couple had celebrated their 9th anniversary together last year (2017), Shalini had shared that inspite of being married for 9 years, they still feel like they are teens! She said, “We are like teenagers. Mad and crazy people filled with love for each other. I feel like I have been successful in balancing my acting career with my role as a wife and mother." Rohit also spoke of how they settle in when they have fights. He had once shared, “Even an argument ends up with laughter. She is funny and caring. I often irritate her with my OCD, but in the end.
