Even before the release of her first film, Kedarnath, Sara impressed her audience with her confidence and poise in Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan. Karan’s coffee couch is a famous witness to all the candid revelations that its star guests make. And once such cute candid confession made by Sara Ali Khan was about her crush and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star, Kartik Aaryan.

During one of the most-awaited and fun segments of the show, Rapid Fire, Karan asked Sara the actor that she would like to date. To this, Sara at once replied, "I want to marry Ranbir Kapoor. I don't want to date him. I want to date Kartik Aaryan." Karan had further added, “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind dating you. Should I take the proposal?” An excited Sara had then exclaimed, “Tell him, na!” When probed further if Sara likes Kartik's big hair, she had answered “Yeah!”
At the Lokmat Most Stylish Awards 2018, held in Mumbai on December 19, 2018, Simmba co-stars, Ranveer and Sara and the latter’s crush, Kartik Aaryan were all present under the same roof. As soon as Ranveer Singh spotted Kartik, he at once, took him and introduced him to Sara. Ranveer didn’t stop at just that! While Kartik and Sara were busy exchanging formalities, Ranveer was making hand-hearts and pointing towards them! And ever since grapevine was abuzz that Sara and Kartik might star in the sequel of Imtiaz Ali’s hit, Love Aaj Kal, though there was no confirmation on the same. But as per a latest Filmfare report, it is now confirmed that Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan will star as the lead actors in Love Aaj Kal’s sequel! The film will start rolling soon and we hope Sara’s daddy, Saif Ali Khan, who had a double role in the film will have a cameo or a role in his daughter-starrer too!
Coming back to Sara’s crush, at the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018, journalists questioned Kartik about him being Sara’s crush. To which, a blushing Kartik had replied, “Nahi, date ke liye kahan bola unhone.” He had further stated,“I don’t know what to say to that. With people awaiting to spot Sara and Kartik going on a date together, a few days back, the Pyar Ka Punchnama star was spotted coming out of a plush restaurant with Ananya Panday. Saving our hearts from breaking, Kartik cleared all dating speculations and shared at Agenda Aaj Tak, “People say all sorts of things if we have lunch or dinner together. It was just one dinner. I find it strange to read such things about myself.” Phew!
Meanwhile, Sara is not failing to make everyone go in awe of her! In an interview with IANS, her grandmom, Sharmila Tagore expressed her proudness for granddaughter. About her debut film and as a person that the Simmba actress has turned out to be, the proud granny stated, “Yes, I am so excited about her debut (in the film Kedarnath). I am very impressed by her though I don’t see why her self-confidence should surprise me. But whether it was Koffee With Karan, Rajeev Masand, BBC - her confidence, humility and charm made me so happy.It’s so heartwarming to see her the way she has turned out. When asked what she’s doing in films after going to Columbia University she said the education was for her growth as a person and not for career. She’s never tongue-tied.
