Sanjay Gagnani and Poonam Preet were dating for nine long years and had exchanged rings in February 2018. Just when they were excited to get married, the pandemic had hit the world really hard. Their wait of nine years turned longer, and now, finally, Sanjay and Poonam are married. The couple got married on November 28, 2021, and their happiness to finally see the light of such a day was evident on their faces.
On November 28, 2021, Poonam Preet and Sanjay Gagnani's wedding pictures had surfaced online and we couldn't stop gushing over how gorgeous and happy they had looked! The couple had an Anand Karaj ceremony in a gurudwara and had become each other's forever. While Poonam had donned a maroon-coloured unique lehenga, Sanjay had looked dapper in a beige-coloured sherwani, paired with a matching doshala and a turban.

Post-wedding, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sanjay and Poonam spoke at lengths about finally getting married. Sanjay humorously shared that he is feeling like he has post-graduated as he crossed various levels in their relationship. He said:
“I feel graduation se post graduation ho gaya. We have been living in together since more than nine years now, we had got engaged in February 2018. It has been almost three years since we got engaged, so schooling se graduation hui in the form of engagement, aur post graduation ho gayi shaadi se. Bauhaut achha lag raha hai.”

Sanjay also talked about how his and Poonam’s wedding got delayed as otherwise they would have been married long before. He added:
“Covid ki wajah se wait badh gayi. Otherwise, we would have got married one and a half years earlier. It feels really nice, we both feel blessed that after waiting for such a long time, we have finally seen the light of this day.”

On the other hand, Poonam Preet talked about how her wedding was exactly like what she had envisioned. Calling it a dream come true moment, Poonam shared:
“For me, it is like a dream come true, I always wanted the big fat Indian wedding. It was definitely worth the wait. I am super happy and glad it happened with the pandemic situation better now.”

Sanjay and Poonam also ensured the COVID-19 safety protocols to keep their guests safe and concluded:
“We wanted to make sure all the guests who are coming for our wedding, we don’t put them at risk, the kids or elders. Now since we are almost a fully vaccinated country, we have had the largest vaccination drive, we have achieved it. It was pretty safe to get married no.”

On November 29, 2021, the newly-wedded couple, Sanjay Gagnani and his wife, Poonam Preet had shared their first-ever post after tying the knot on their IG handles. In the pictures, Sanjay and Poonam had looked mesmerising in their wedding ensembles, and we couldn’t stop gushing over them. Along with the pictures, they had written:
