Trishala Dutt is Sanjay Dutt and his late wife, Richa Sharma’s only daughter. Both of her parents have been successful artists in Bollywood. Trishala has spent most of her childhood days with her maternal grandparents in the US, after her mother’s demise. She currently lives in Los Angeles and works as a professional psychotherapist. Trishala hardly ever makes a public appearance, she likes living a normal life and does not get involved with media.
However, she is an active social media user and keeps all her fans updated about her life. She often uses social media platforms to address various mental health issues like therapy and dealing with grief. Trishala learnt to cope with her mother's demise at a very young age and since then, she has been vocal about the importance of mental health and grief management.

Recently, Trishala Dutt had decided to discuss topics related to mental health on her Instagram handle. For which she invited depression related questions. However, one of her followers did not stick to the subject and went out of his way, writing to her, “You never answer my question, Ms Dutt. Will you marry me???” Trishala saw this question and replied funnily, saying, “I never answer it because it has nothing to do with mental health. And at this point, with all the ghosting going on and conversations slowly fading out after first dates from the guy's end - why not lol. Happy?”
She shared about her failed dating experience where guys she dated had ghosted her after the first date. However, she did not take the question seriously.

Trishala was in a relationship and had lost her boyfriend in July 2019. Though she did not disclose his name, she had addressed him as Mark on her social media posts. In one of her interactive sessions on Instagram, she revealed that it was tough for her to deal with his death, and she had taken the help of a grief therapist. She said that after his demise, she took a break from social media, mentioning, “I needed that private time to process what the hell just happened to both of our lives." She also said that she is slowly beginning to accept her loss.
Trishala has been very open about her feelings towards her late boyfriend and often uses her Instagram handle to express her emotions. On October 7, 2019, she had dedicated a special post on his birthday, where she had written, “Not a day, not a second, not a moment goes by where I don’t think about you. Happy Birthday. I love you. Rest in Paradise. Love, Bella Mia.”
While Sanjay Dutt remains a famous Bollywood actor, his daughter, Trishala has no plans to follow her father’s footsteps.
