According to Mumbai Mirror, Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt had previously announced a short break from work because of his cancer treatment. However, the actor has made an exception for his period film, Shamshera with Ranbir Kapoor, as he returned on the sets of the film and looked super-happy. A source close to the actor has informed the publication, "The film has been stuck following the six-month coronavirus-induced lockdown and Sanjay did not want to delay it further. So, even though he is currently undergoing treatment, he reported at a city studio on Monday, taking all the necessary precautions and following the SOPs while on the set." Also, on September 8, 2020, Sanjay Dutt's wife and actress, Maanayata Dutt took to her Instagram handle and posted a solo picture of her husband and praised him for resuming the shooting amid his cancer treatment. Her caption can be read as "Rukk jaana nahin tu kahin haarke....kaanto pe chalke milenge saaye Bahar ke!! We have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of our lives!! He had informed his fans that he would be taking a sabbatical from work for some medical reason. His note could be read as "Hi Friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me, and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!"
