Sanjay Dutt Beats Cancer? Family Member Clarifies Reports Of 'Having A Few Months To Live' [Details]

The glamour industry was shocked beyond measure when the news of superstar, Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer had come out. Millions of his fans were worried about his well-being and had prayed for his health. Amidst which, some pictures of Sanjay Dutt had gone viral in-between his chemotherapy sessions in which he was looking very weak, which had further added to the worries. According to the reports flashed in Bollywood Life, Sanjay Dutt has beaten cancer. Reports further state that his family members can make an official announcement soon. On October 19, 2020,  Sanjay Dutt's Positron Emission Tomography (PET) report came out, and he was found to be cancer-free. According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, this was confirmed by a close friend of Sanjay Dutt.

Another family member of Sanjay Dutt has shared with Bollywood Life that Sanjay Dutt has responded "very well" to the medical treatment. Clarifying the rumours that Sanjay Dutt has only six months to live, he told PTI, "The news was like he has got six months or this month to live, (but) it has never been that scene. He was detected with a kind of lung cancer for which treatment started in Mumbai, and he has responded very well to the treatment. He went for his test today, and the results have come out very good. With God's grace and everyone's blessings, he has responded very well."

After Sanjay's first chemotherapy cycle had ended, Dr Jalil Parkar had talked about the same in an interview with ETimes. He had said, "It is not yet known how many cycles will be required. Chemotherapy is never easy to take and the fight against lung cancer is another battle in his life." When Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer, he had refrained from giving any statements. But his pillar of strength, Maanayata had come forward to curb his fans' worries and thank his well-wishers. She had said in her statement, "I thank everyone who has expressed their good wishes for Sanju's speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident this too shall pass."

She had concluded her statement by saying Sanjay Dutt is a fighter and he will emerge as a winner again. Her statement could be further read as "Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity."
