On October 30, 2018, Sania Mirza and her husband, Shoaib Malik were blessed with a baby boy, whom they had named, Izhaan Mirza Malik. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sania had shared that she has embraced her role as a mother and there isn't a single moment when she felt like she is coping with it. However, the tennis player had shared that she misses her night sleep as she rarely gets it because of her baby. The gorgeous diva had returned back to the tennis court within 15 months of giving birth to her baby boy. And she had shared how she wants to tell the women all around the world that motherhood is not about giving up your dreams.
Sania often shares snippets of her life with her fans. On April 20, 2020, Sania took to her son's Instagram handle and shared an adorable video of him playing tennis. In the video, we can see Sania teaching her son, Izhaan how to hold a racket and hit the ball and it was a beautiful sight. In an interview with the Telegraph, Sania had shared the reason for making a comeback to the tennis court within 15 months. She had said, "One of the reasons to make this comeback was to tell women that you can follow your dreams. Just because you have a baby, you don’t have to sacrifice your entire life. You can still be a good mother [while working]. We are in a very privileged position to be able to do this. There are a lot of people who are not able to do it for various reasons, perhaps because they are being told that they can’t, or shouldn’t. And it is a lot more pronounced on the side of the world that I come from.
