Mohit and Sanaya had first met on the sets of their show, Miley Jab Hum Tum and had fallen in love with each other. Post confessing their love, the madly-in-love couple had dated each other for five years before tying the knot on January 25, 2016, in Goa. The duo’s happily ever after is filled with adventure, love, romance, and understanding and their social media handles are proof of the same.
On September 17, 2020, Sanaya Irani turned a year older and the beautiful actress shared a glimpse of her birthday celebrations with hubby, Mohit and friends, Drashti Dhami, Niraj Khemka, Kinni Kamat and Alok Kamat. Sanaya took to her IG handle and shared two pictures giving glimpses of 'Instagram vs Reality'. Along with the pictures, Sanaya wrote, “Instagram vs Reality. That’s pretty much how I brought in my bday. When it’s 2020 nothing surprises me. Had such a fun night with my peeps.”
Sanaya’s hubby, Mohit Sehgal shared a heartmelting wish for his ladylove. He took to his IG handle and shared an array of pictures, where Sanaya was seen cutting her birthday cake. Along with the pictures, Mohit wrote, “Happy Birthdaaaay my baby. There is nothing that I want more than to spend the next one hundred birthdays of yours by my side. Today on this day I want to thank uncle aunty for bringing you in this world and giving me the most precious gift of my life, to my dad for letting me come to Bombay, if that didn't happen, I would have never met u. Last year, on September 17, 2019, Sanaya had turned 36 and her husband, Mohit had made sure to make her day extra special. He had taken to his Instagram handle and had given us a glimpse of his muse's birthday celebration. In the picture shared by him, we could see him happily holding the love of his life, Sanaya in his arms. He had captioned it as "Happy birthday my baby." On January 25, 2020, the duo had completed 4 years of marital bliss and had wished each other with dreamy pictures and lovely captions that had perfectly defined their relationship. Sharing a goofy picture, Mohit had written, “Yay !!! We didn't kill each other and i am still alive. Happy anniversary baby. Love u #us @sanayairani.” While Sanaya had kept it simple and had written, “Happy #US 4 years and counting @itsmohitsehgal.”
Sanaya and Mohit had kickstarted 2020 with a liplock picture in the midst of snow from their vacation in San Francisco that had made all their fans' heart flutter. Sanaya had captioned the picture as "Kissing 2019 goodbye and bringing in 2020 with loads of love. Happy New year everyone have a great year ahead." On the other hand, Mohit had written, "Bringing in 2020 with love and happiness."
In an interview with The Times of India, Sanaya had talked about the love of her life, Mohit, who had taken a break from television and had shared, "When I married Mohit, all that mattered was the person that he is. It’s okay if he is figuring out what to do. I believe that luck and destiny play a big role in success. Mohit is not running away from acting, he is just waiting for the right opportunity. Also, he is currently focussing on an alternate plan. I have always told him that the luxuries, like a house and a car, are not important, but we are. I have seen how people would react to Mohit when he was famous and how they react to him today. But that doesn’t affect me; the fact is that I go back home with him and none of those people do."
