It was on July 12, 2019, when a pop up on our social media timeline made us jump with joy. Sameera Reddy had announced the arrival of her second born, a little angel with a lovely post on her Instagram handle. Sharing the first glimpse of her newborn daughter, Sameera had written, "Our little angel came this morning. My baby girl! Thank you for all the love and blessings. #blessed". Soon, congratulatory messages from her friends from the industry started pouring in, and it made our wait for the baby picture even more difficult.
5 days after coming into this beautiful world, the little angel was brought home by her mommy, Sameera Reddy, her daddy, Akshai Varde and big brother, Hans Varde. With star foil balloons and ‘Hello Little Baby’ hanging on the door, ‘Welcome Home Mama And Baby’ banner, ‘Daddy’s Little Girl And Mommy’s Little World’ written in a photo frame, beautiful flowers all around, baby Varde’s home welcome was full of love and rituals. The newborn baby’s grandmothers (maternal and paternal) made sure to welcome the little one with proper tradition. Check out the glimpses:
On July 15, 2019, in a heartwarming post, Sameera Reddy had shared how it feels to have a daughter and how her little angel gives her strength to brave it all. She had written, “This little girl gave me the strength of wild horses. She wanted me to find myself again. She knew I was lost and she showed me the way. I found a voice in celebrating motherhood, wanting change on body perception and the best part was reaching out to people to just feel good about themselves. A few days after delivering her baby girl, Sameera Reddy had revealed her childbirth story and was quoted as saying by SpotboyE, "I was on an ad shoot on Thursday, and in fact, my doctor had just checked me on Wednesday. I am at Women's Hospital in the able hands of Dr Gayatri Rao. She had said that we could go ahead with a C-section as it was required in my case and I should tell her when I would like to get it done. I said, 'Let's do it on Friday. As such, yesterday was Ekadashi- a very big, holy day. My husband clicked pictures in the labour room. He clicked his first selfie with our daughter." When asked why they haven’t decided on a name for the baby, Sameera Reddy replied, “We haven't decided on the name yet. We will follow the rashi system." Revealing how her son, Hans Varde has been fulfilling his role of a big brother, Sameera remarked, "My son (Hans) has already become so protective about his sister. I am so thrilled to see that." Speaking about her newborn daughter, Sameera said, "She hasn't come out dusky like me. She is fair and lovely. My husband is a very private person. We both are over-the-moon. My daughter is a superstar."
Elaborating on how her husband, Akshai Varde has already proved to be a hands-on daddy, Sameera Reddy shared, "I didn't have a nanny when my son was born, so he is far more closer to me. I am a hands-on mother. But yes, I have a good support system from my inlaws. I don't think I will have a nanny this time around too, but might have to choose one as my work has increased. Waise, my husband too is a hands-on father."
Expressing the pros and cons that she had faced during her second pregnancy, Sameera Reddy stated, "I enjoyed my second pregnancy. I frequently sent out messages that the bump is not ugly but something that all pregnant ladies need to be proud of. I had even shot a video Imperfectly Perfect in this regard and got a terrific response from women and even those who were not pregnant. There is so much shaming of every kind going out there. Everybody is just out to harm each other even otherwise and sadly not doing anything constructive either. There is a lot of viciousness all around us in every strata and sphere of life. It's all coming out so starkly. It's all coming out to exhibit that people have become so spiteful and scheming. It's shameful. We need to end it ASAP."
