Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan is ruling both the small and big screens with his performances in films and reality show, Bigg Boss. Over the years, he has entertained everyone with the way he has hosted the controversial reality show and with the 16th season of Bigg Boss getting into the pipeline, Salman is once again in the headlines. As per the reports, Salman had charged Rs. 25 crores per weekend for Bigg Boss 15. However, reports are rife that for the show's upcoming season, he has hiked his price, leaving everyone stunned. According to a report in Navbharat Times, Salman Khan demanded a whopping sum of Rs. 43.75 crores for hosting a single episode of the upcoming season of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss season 16. As per the report, the makers of the show have agreed to it, and no wonder the actor will be on cloud nine at the moment. Another interesting fact about this contract is that Salman will appear on the weekends, and if we calculate the number of episodes, then he will be hosting the show 8 times a month or 24 times in three months. There's no denying the fact that Salman is the backbone of India's biggest reality show, but the gigantic sum of Rs. 1050 crores offered to him for hosting one season is simply groundbreaking.
Fort he unversed, Salman Khan had kick-started his journey as the host of Bigg Boss 4 back in 2010, for which he had charged a sum of Rs. 2.50 crore per episode. The fourth season of the show turned out to be a massive success, and for the next two seasons, Salman had received the same amount of money. However, for the seventh season of the reality show, Salman had increased his fee per episode and started earning a sum of Rs. 5 crores per episode.

In the coming seasons of Bigg Boss, Salman Khan had demanded a constant hike in his fee, and for Bigg Boss 14, he had earned Rs. 20 crores per episode. However, after the massive success of Bigg Boss 15, Salman reportedly decided to increase his fee by a mammoth hike as he will reportedly be receiving a sum of Rs. 43.75 crores for a single episode. Speculations are rife that Salman had increased his fee because of the time he had to manage from his busy film schedules. Hence, the Bollywood superstar has decided to up his price for Bigg Boss.
