Earlier, Salman had appeared on the popular Indian TV show, Aap Ki Adaalat to promote his film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. During the show, he talked about his past relationships. "My love stories will go with me to the grave."
Earlier, in an interview with The Times Of India, Salman had expressed his desire to become a father. He stated that he wanted to have a child, but for that, he needed to get married. Claiming that he is not a husband material, the actor said that he was planning for surrogacy, but he couldn't do it because he felt that a child needs a mother. Elaborating more on it, he had said:
"I do want to have a child, but with child, the mother comes. And when the mother comes, big complications happen as I am not the husband material. I am the father type. I sometimes feel surrogate type ka ho jaye, but then look how close we are to our mothers so when the kid grows up he or she will ask maa kaun? They will then think that my father for his own selfish reasons has kept us without a mother."
