Be it taking care of her husband like a baby to showering all her love upon him, Saira Banu has given it her all. Of late, Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital for recurring pneumonia. Rumours were also doing the rounds that Dilip ji is so unwell, that he is unable to recognise his very own wife! Refuting the same, Saira ji, at once retorted, “Who says that? I would not give that any cognizant at all. All is well, all is fine and nothing of this sort.”
Yesterday (October 11, 2018), Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar completed 52 years of marital bliss. On account of the same, a tweet from Dilip Kumar’s twitter handle shared the beautiful message that Saira ji has for her ‘Yusuf jaan’. At their 51st anniversary last year (2017), the couple had celebrated their ‘big day’ with family members and close friends. Well, good news for all is that after proper treatment from the hospital, Dilip ji is finally discharged from the hospital. Sharing the news with fans and followers, a tweet from his Twitter profile could be read as, “Allah ka shukar hai @TheDilipKumar Saab hospital se discharge hogaye Aur abhi ghar pohoch gaye hain. Doctors have advised complete rest isolation for few days to prevent infection. Thank you all for your prayers. More updates later.”
Do you know? Saira Banu was smitten by Dilip Kumar right from the age of 12! In an interview, she stated, “I was not just another girl smitten by Dilip Kumar. For me, it was no castle in the air because I had given my dream the strong foundation of faith- faith in myself and faith in God.” Recalling her first encounter with Dilip Kumar, she shared, “When he smiled at me and remarked that I was a pretty girl, I could feel my whole being taking wing and flying rapturously. I knew somewhere deep within me that I was going to be his wife.”
Saira Banu is still, truly, madly and deeply in love with her ‘kohinoor’. Speaking about the same, she revealed, “I am still head over heels in love with my Kohinoor, Yusuf Sahab, the way I was when I first felt attracted to him as a 12 year-old.
