Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise on June 14, 2020 had startled the nation, leading them to demand a CBI inquiry in his case. During the investigation, the focus of the case has completely shifted from ‘Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death Case’ to ‘Bollywood's Drugs Nexus’. It had all started with Rhea Chakraborty getting arrested on September 9, 2020, under the charges of drug procurement and consumption. Reportedly, she had named some biggies from Bollywood to be involved in the same, and one of them is Sara Ali Khan. The NCB had questioned Sara Ali Khan and other actresses on September 26, 2020 and a lot of shocking confessions were made. Amongst them, one was Sara’s confession that she had accompanied SSR to his Thailand trip and had not consumed drugs with him. While Sara is single handedly dealing with the drugs nexus, it was expected that her father, Saif Ali Khan would come out in her support. According to a report in The Times of India, Saif Ali Khan has refused to help his daughter, Sara Ali Khan in Bollywood’s drug nexus by the NCB. It is reported that Sara is no more depending on her father, Saif to handle the situation. It is also said that Saif has lashed out at his ex-wife, Amrita Singh and has given her an earful. Saif had left for Delhi with his pregnant wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan and their son, Taimur Ali Khan as Bebo is shooting for her upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan. The report further suggests that Sara’s dadi, Sharmila Tagore is trying her best to help her granddaughter in the matter.
Coming back to the confessions made by Sara during the interrogation with the NCB officials, according to a report in PeepingMoon.com, Sara Ali Khan had told the NCB that Sushant Singh Rajput was not loyal to her in the relationship. She had also shared her chats with the late actor to the NCB. The report had further alleged that Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput had broken up in 2019. The NCB had questioned Sara on September 26, 2020, after she had returned from Goa a day before, courtesy to the summon by NCB. Earlier, a report in Times Now had alleged that Sara Ali Khan had accepted that she had accompanied Sushant Singh Rajput on his trip to Thailand, but had denied consuming drugs with him. Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput's Thailand trip had come under the NCB scanner when some of his friends had revealed that Sushant had booked a charter plane for Sara for their Thailand trip. They had also claimed that Sushant and Sara were dating at the moment.
Some days ago, India TV had gotten hold of a video, wherein, Sara Ali Khan was seen smoking with Sushant Singh Rajput. The video in question had featured Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan chilling and smoking at the balcony of a bungalow. This video was supposedly shot using a drone as Sushant and Sara were seen in a deep conversation. The reports by India TV had suggested that NCB was looking into the authenticity of all such videos.
It was Sushant Singh Rajput's friend, Samuel Haokip, who had claimed that SSR and Sara were dating during the Kedarnath promotions. Taking to his IG handle, he had mentioned that during Kedarnath promotions, Sushant and Sara Ali Khan were totally in love. Samuel had also hinted that Sara's decision to break up with Sushant might have been influenced by Bollywood mafia.
