The day of her wedding is very special for a girl. Every girl has some expectations about her Knight in shining armour and when she comes across that person, she cannot wait to get married to him and start her happily ever after. The would-be bride plans every detail of her wedding herself as it is the most important day of her life.
Starting from the decor of the wedding to all the ceremonies and the outfits that are to be worn on each of the rituals, are planned meticulously by the bride. Though due to the global pandemic, weddings aren't a gala affair anymore, but our bride of the week, Rudhika Kanwar proved that she is not ready to compromise on her dream wedding ensemble.
Amidst the pandemic, we have seen many to-be brides and grooms either postpone their wedding or have a ceremony in an intimate affair. Our engineer bride, who is based in New York had an intimate wedding ceremony at JW Marriot, Mumbai. She got married to the man of her dreams, Siddharth Karnavat. While scrolling through our feeds, we came across some pictures of her wedding and her outfit caught our attention instantly.
For her wedding, Rudhika Kanwar fulfilled her dream of flaunting a Sabyasachi lehenga on her D-day. Unlike other brides, who wear a lehenga, with a dupatta, blouse and skirt of the same colour, our bride opted for a lehenga that played with colours. While the dupatta had hues of rusty orange, her skirt was beige in colour with intricate embroidery work all over it. Her blouse was unique too. While the front portion was mauvish pink in colour and had floral embroidery over it, the sleeves exuded some green hues.
Rudhika also flaunted the signature symbol of the ace-designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee's brand on the skirt. She kept her makeup minimal with a small red bindi, nude lipstick and some eyeshadow on her eyes. She accentuated her look with a nath, jhumkas, heavy necklace and some sober stone bangles. The bride also complimented her look with a maang teeka, which made the partition of her hair look amazing.
Besides her unique ensemble, in one of the posts shared by Rudhika's makeup artist, Shradha Luthra, the then-bride-to-be had flaunted her multi-coloured gajra. Unlike the conventional white mogra gajras, her multi-coloured gajra was enough to steal the show. Rudhika had tied her hair in a bun and it encapsulated the unique gajra made out of various colours.
On the other hand, her groom, Siddharth Karnavat, had opted for an ivory-coloured sherwani with a cream-hued stole and brown safa. He had also donned a long beaded marron neckpiece. The groom had left no stone unturned to compliment his would-be wife and had looked dapper in his look. The pictures of the couple were surreal.
Well, our bride of the week, Rudhika Kanwar is an inspiration to many, who are bored with the monotonous red lehenga and want to try out something new for their wedding. What do you think about her wedding look? Let us know!
