Happiness had knocked on the doors of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan again when they had welcomed their second child in February 2021. Soon after the birth of their second son, the nation was curious to see him and know his name. However, the star parents had kept their baby boy away from the limelight, until he had turned six months old. They had taken this decision keeping in mind the trolls they had faced when they had named their first child, Taimur Ali Khan.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were brutally trolled for naming their firstborn, Taimur Ali Khan, and fearing the same, they had hidden their second son’s name for the longest time. In July 2021, the reports were rife that Kareena and Saif have named their baby ‘Jeh’, and later, in August 2021, it was clear that his name is Jehangir Ali Khan. In her book, KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN'S PREGNANCY BIBLE: The ultimate manual for moms-to-be, Kareena had addressed her newborn as 'Jeh' and in the last few pages, she had shared her second child's name as 'Jehangir'.

Kareena and Saif were trolled massively again for their baby’s name. Now, Jehangir’s bua, Saba Ali Khan shared her opinion on the same. Sharing a picture of Kareena with Jeh from their Maldives vacation, Saba mentioned that only parents have the right to decide a name for their child. She wrote, “Momma n Jaan Jeh. When a mother carries her child within her and gives him or her life... only she and the father…are allowed to decide... who how and what the child will grow as...And the name."
Saba further mentioned that no one other than the parents have the right to decide a name for the baby. She added, "No one...no one else, including other family members, who may gladly suggest, have a say on anything! It's her soul that has nurtured that baby. Parents are the only ones with rights. Think it's a reminder for everyone to respect that. Today... tomorrow. Forever!!!! Love you Bhabs n Baby Jeh. Kiss from buajaan too!"
While Saba penned down a valid point, a user called her ‘over dramatic’. The user wrote, “Pls don’t be so overdramatic Saba. People will comment on whatever they like if you put yourself out there as a public figure. If people are surprised by her choices they are well within their rights to say what they want. So pls don’t conveniently introduce a safety blanket when it suits the family and when it doesn’t.” Saba didn’t let go of the insensitive remark, and replied, “@varshikamunjal So then comment on her. Don't involve children. It's NOT nice. Not kind. And definitely noones business either. I stand by what I said.”

This is not the first time that Saba Ali Khan has supported her bhai and bhabhi over the controversy of Jehangir's name. A few months back, Kareena and Saif were trolled for hurting Sikh Community's sentiments when Jeh's name was revealed as Jehangir. For the unversed, Jehangir was the fourth Mughal Emperor, who had executed Sikh Guru Arjan Dev. Soon, Saba had reacted to the trolling and had shared a collage of Jeh with Saif, Kareena and Taimur on her IG handle. She had written, "Jeh... Jaan. What's in a name? Love…Live and Let it be…Children are God's blessings."
