The mention is of none other than the hot and happening jodi of television, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla. The couple said, ‘I do’ in the presence of their close friends and relatives on June 21, 2018. Their wedding though was a close-knit affair but was grand in every sense that took place at the famous Woodville Palace of Shimla. It was a destination wedding for the couple and they took the wedding vows amidst the hills (how dreamy it is, no?). Talking about why they chose Shimla as the destination, Rubina earlier told a media portal, “We have chosen Shimla for various reasons. To begin with, most of our relatives are settled there. However, the prewedding functions will take place in Mumbai and Ludhiana, which Abhinav’s hometown. We are not going in for an elaborate ritual, as for us, what matters most is the saat phere. We both wanted it to be an outdoor affair. Abhinav, being an adventure junkie, wished to exchange vows amidst the mountains, in the lap of nature. Well, after the D-day at the town, Rubina and Abhinav’s celebrations are still not over yet. While there is already a scheduled reception of the newbie couple in Mumbai that is to take place on June 28, the couple had a reception party in Ludhiana last night. Yes, you read that right! Rubina and Abhinav hosted a reception in latter’s hometown and again they nailed their looks. Rubina wore a pretty bodycon grey shimmery gown with matching tassle earrings. Just like any other couple, even Rubina and Abhinav have been all excited to start the new journey together. Talking about the same, Abhinav shared in an interview after their wedding, "Well, I couldn’t have been happier! Everything went off very well and we are so blessed to have got so much love and wishes from all those who are close to us. Rubina and I have been together since so long and she understands me completely. I am blessed to have her as my wife and I can’t wait to start this journey with her." Talking about the pre-wedding festivities, Abhinav said, "The Dilaiks totally impressed us with the welcome we received at their house. The engagement, that took place on Wednesday was so much fun. All our friends; Tina, Hussain, Sharad, Maggie, Keerti, Rahul, Faisal, Gazala Surveen, Akshay and Neha performed a musical for us. Then, I got the best gift ever from Rubina – it was a that she wrote herself and had visuals of our journey together till now. I could not have asked for anything more."
Sharing his love for hills and then getting married in the vicinity of nature, Abhinav retorted, "I love hills and the weather. It was pleasant with a slight welcome drizzle. And Woodville place is a beautiful place with so much history and character to it.
