Just three months ago, we were laughing, partying and enjoying life, the way we used to. But within just a matter of a few days, the COVID-19 cases in India had started increasing and just like the rest of the world, we started fighting with coronavirus. Our world came to a halt, the moment the government had announced a complete lockdown in the month of March. While the lockdown is being lifted now, we are introduced to a new world with masked faces and no hugs and smiles. The big celebrations and get-togethers are put on halt and people are trying to stay indoors as much as they can. Amidst it, television couple, Rohit Roy and Manasi Joshi celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in a simple way. For those who don't know, the duo knows each other for 26 years now and they are still madly in love with each other. Manasi had met Rohit through a common friend as she was a model and he was working as an assistant director. Soon, their work meeting had got them closer and they become extremely fond of one another. After six wonderful years of dating, the adorable couple had decided to tie the knot.
On June 23, 2020, Rohit and Manasi completed 21 years of togetherness. The star wife took to her Instagram handle and gave us a glimpse of how the couple celebrated their anniversary in the 'new normal' world. She posted a picture with her hubby, Rohit as they were decked up with masks and face shields. Alongside it, Manasi wrote, "Happy 21st Anniversary to us. The lockdown has changed how we celebrate our special days, but I’m actually loving this new way. A nice drive to town, some takeaway & it’s a good evening." Check it out below:
Rohit also took to his Instagram handle and posted an adorable anniversary wish for his wife, Manasi. He shared a beautiful throwback picture with her, and wrote, "May we always sing the song of life with the same gusto till we pass... Happy 21st wedding anniversary my darling.. Wow!! Have known you for more than half my lifetime and still feels like yesterday when we went for the bike ride to shiv sagar for Ganga Jamuna juice and mango milk shake!!! Love." When Rohit and Manasi had completed 25 years of knowing each other, the former had shared an loving note for his wife. He had penned a note that could be read as "On the 23rd of may 1992, I asked this gorgeous, young model out on a date.. I had met her only a couple days before through a common friend.. She was a top notch model n had been given the title of ‘the face of the nineties’ and I was a lowly ranked assistant to Kunal Kapoor( son on the legendary shashi kapoor) .. Happily n surprisingly, she obliged me without much of a fuss (must have earned some brownie points at our 1st meeting) and off we went on my scooter to the shiv sagar restaurant (coz that’s all I could afford on a kingly salary of 1500 rupees a month ) We ordered a Ganga jamuna (mash up of orange n mosambi) for her n a mango milk shake for me! Must have spent a couple of hours there but those were the most eventful hours in my life.. those 2 hours determined how we would spend the rest of our lives! That day, unbeknownst to me, or her, for that matter, I met the love of my life.. a woman so beautiful inside out that she took over my life n every aspect of it without me even realising it.. it’s been 25 years today n my world still starts n ends with her."
