We still remember when in an interview, someone had asked Riteish how they had kept their relationship a secret for so long, the actor had simply said that they 'just lied'. The duo was sure that they don't want their relationship to become a Page-3 gossip, which gets served with breakfast.
On February 3, 2021, Riteish and Genelia celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. Ritesh took to his Instagram handle and posted a lovely picture with his baiko, Genelia. In the picture, we can see Riteish donning a gorgeous green kurta, while Genelia was seen wearing a yellow-coloured saree. The actor was resting his head on his wifey, Genelia's shoulder. Alongside the picture, he wrote a cute anniversary wish for her, which can be read as "This is my resting place forever, I will live here, for this is the home I desired. A few hours ago, Genelia had also shared a lovely anniversary wish for her hubby, Riteish. Genelia had posted a video, wherein, we could see Genelia showering love on her hubby, Riteish. Alongside it, she wrote, "Dearest @riteishd, you don’t find love, it finds you. It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, what’s written in the stars and a lot to do with special kind of you. There is no me without you. I’m totally madly, crazy in love you. Happy Anniversary Love." In a joint interview with the Hindustan Times, Genelia and Riteish had opened up on their married life. During the interview, Riteish had shared that he has asked his wife, Genelia to ask him only 10 questions in a day and her quota ends in the morning within five minutes. To this, Genelia had stated, "I ask whatever I need to ask, he can reply or not, that’s his choice. There is a saying, ‘happy wife, happy life’, and he knows that very well."
Talking about Riteish and Genelia's love story, the duo had kept their affair hidden from the media for a long time. Earlier, in an interview with iDiva, Riteish had talked about how his relationship has evolved with his wife, Genelia. The actor had stated, "I feel it's been great. Genelia and I have grown together. She was 18 and I was 23 when we started dating. Then we married after 10 years and five years later today we have two kids. So, it is growing every day and maturity levels are changing. You are adapting to many things. The dynamics keep changing. Once you are married you are living with that person and when you have kids, the mother in you is different and father in you is different. We still like surprising each other with new things. I remember our son's first birthday and Genelia wanted to make it special and told me why don't you make a cake. That way our son will remember his first birthday. And it was my first time making a cake and it was great. That's the beauty of a relationship. You reinvent and seek happiness within. Your relationship is like treasure and the more you dig you will find something new. There will be a gem to find every day."
Riteish had also opened up on his journey of fatherhood with his two kids, Riaan and Rahyl. He had shared, "Both of them are just amazing! One is crawling and other one is walking. One is pushing and sometimes one wants the other and then suddenly doesn't want him. My elder one thinks my younger one is a toy. So, whenever he gets up, he feels the other one should also be up.
