Vilasrao Dagadojirao Deshmukh still remembered as one of the best Chief Ministers in the history of Maharashtra. The man was widely known as 'People's Miniser' because of his tremendous work on the ground levels for the betterment of Maharashtra. Vilasrao Deshmukh was elected as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra two-times, from 1999 to 2003 and later on, from 2004 to 2008. However, on August 14, 2012, the popular minister had passed away due to multiple organ failure in a hospital in Chennai. On August 14, 2020, Bollywood actor, Riteish Deshmukh took to his Instagram handle and shared an artistic portrait of his late father and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Vilasrao Deshmukh. The actor got emotional on his father's 8th death anniversary and wrote a note along with his beautiful picture in which he delivered an important message to the world. His note in the caption can be read as "Use your smile to change the world, don't let the world change your smile. #Miss you PAPPA!" Riteish Deshmukh's brother, Dhiraj Vilasrao Deshmukh also paid tribute to his father on his death anniversary and took to his Twitter handle to post an emotional video of him. The MLA of Indian National Congress, Dhiraj was quite close to his father just like his other two brothers. But because of his profession in politics, he got the chance to spend more time with his father in comparison to his other brothers and a glimpse of the same, we can see in the video. Last year, on Vilasrao Deshmukh's 7th death anniversary, his son, Riteish Deshmukh had taken to his Twitter handle and posted two pictures from his remembering ceremony. In the pictures, we could see Riteish Deshmukh with his wife and actress, Genelia Deshmukh, along with their families and known-ones. In his tweet, Riteish had written a few lines for his father and it could be read as "Some say 7 years is a long time, for me it feels like yesterday. Miss You Pappa..... #VilasraoDeshmukh." On May 26, 2020, Riteish Deshmukh had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted an emotional video to mark his father, Vilasrao Deshmukh's 75th birth anniversary. In the video, he could be seen caressing his father's white kurta and Nehru jacket. While the popular song, Abhi mujh mein kahi from the movie, Agneepath could be heard playing in the background, that makes it even more emotional to watch.
