Wedding bells are ringing out loud and the entire Malhotra house would be echoing with the sound of dhol as their son, Sharad Malhotra is all set to tie the knot. Just a few more hours to go and Sharad will be legally taken by a budding fashion designer, Ripci Bhatia. It is to be mentioned here that Sharad was earlier in a relationship with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. After that, he had also been dating ex-Splitsvilla contestant, Pooja Bisht.
Well, coming back to Sharad and Ripci’s wedding, today on April 20, 2019, their relationship will be solemnised into marriage as per two wedding rituals, Sikh and Hindu customs. The wedding functions of the couple kick-started yesterday on April 19, with mehendi, sangeet and engagement ceremonies. Today, in the morning, the bride and the groom-to-be had their respective haldi ceremonies. As per the schedule of the wedding shared earlier, currently, Sharad and Ripci might be having a Sikh wedding in a Gurudwara, followed by an Anand Karaj ceremony. Now, two pictures of the happy bride have gone viral on the internet. Sharad’s bride, Ripci is looking drop-dead gorgeous in a pale pink and golden coloured outfit. Keeping her makeup minimal and hair neatly tied back, Ripci can be seen wearing exquisite gold jewellery that has hanging pearls. Here are her pictures:
On the other hand, there is a picture of Sharad that has also been floating on the social media wherein he is looking like a dapper Sikh groom. Sharad is wearing a white outfit and he has grabbed all the applauds for wearing a pink pagdi. Also, what added to his wedding look is the groom jewellery that he has worn around his neck and has adorned his turban with. Checkout:
Confirming to his news of getting married to Ripci, Sharad had earlier told the Bombay Times, “Yes, I am getting married in the third week of April in Mumbai.” Revealing the wedding schedule, Sharad had earlier told Pinkvilla, “We have planned to have a mehndi, sangeet, and a morning wedding. Most of the functions are in Mumbai and one function is in my hometown Kolkata." (Do Read: Isha Ambani Piramal And Anand Piramal Step Out In Casual Best, All Smiles For Cameras At The Airport)
On being asked when he got the instinct that Ripci is the one for him, Sharad had retorted, "I don’t think there was one particular moment when I decided that I wanted to marry her. We were out on a drive and I thought I would take a chance. I asked her about marrying me and in case, she refused, I would just laugh it off. But she agreed. Later, we informed our families and they agreed too. So now here we are. Luckily, everything just fell into place."
In an interview with the Hindustan Times earlier, Sharad had shared, "I have always been marriage-phobic and the world knows about it. I love commitment but the idea of marriage gave me cold feet. And now that I am getting married, everyone is shocked...I have seen a couple of bad marriages but most of the bad thoughts are in your head. I am going forward in this marriage with a positive vibe." (Also Read: Kajol Devgan's Emotional Birthday Post For Nysaa Devgan On Her 16th Birthday, Picture Inside)
