It was long back in the year 1980 that the lovebirds got married and ever since the two have stick to each other like nothing else. And now also, when Rishi Kapoor is not keeping well, health-wise, Neetu is right there beside him supporting him in the US for an undisclosed disease. Though Neetu in her New Year post hinted that Rishi Kapoor is suffering from cancer, but nothing direct has been stated as of now. Sharing a family picture, she wrote, “Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!! No hatred less poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health”.
Before going to the States, Rishi Kapoor had tweeted about his treatment and wrote, "I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It's been 45 years 'plus' of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!" Today, on January 22, 2019, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh have completed 39 years of their blissful married life. So, on this happy occasion, their lovely daughter, Riddhima took to her official Instagram handle and wished her “center of universe” a very happy anniversary. She shared a picture collage wherein there are some lovely pictures of the stunning couple, Rishi and Neetu. Riddhima captioned the snap as, “You two are my life - Center of my universe - Happy Anniversary to the best parents in the whole world! I love you both endlessly ! It was Riddhima only who gave an honest update about father Rishi’s health condition. She was quoted as saying, "He's fine, nothing to worry about. I was never worried anyway. He's just getting his routine tests done, like he said on Twitter, after so many years of wear and tear. He's getting everything done, so hoping for the best." Previously, for an NDTV interview, Riddhima described her actor-father and was quoted as saying, "My dad is as honest on Twitter as he is in real life - he is a very straightforward and that's what's amazing because in today's times, we need more people like him who are not afraid to speak their mind and are totally frank about certain issues, so kudos to him."
Recently, Neetu Singh took to her official Instagram account and shared a selfie with Rishi ji. But what caught everyone’s attention was her funny caption that read, “Lunch date this is what happens after 38 years of marriage husband on the phone and I’m clicking selfies”. In a throwback interview, Neetu Singh shared the details about Rishi’s flirty nature. She was then quoted as saying, “Even when we were dating, he remained a total flirt and would pretend he did not have other affairs when he was caught and always denied it. I knew that. But I was too innocent and if he said ‘nahi hai’ I would believe him. Even after many ups and downs, this lovely couple managed to overcome them all really well. Talking about the same, Neetu told a leading daily, “There always comes a phase in a couple’s life when there would be friction, disagreements. Rishi and I also went through that stage. It was just one of those problems, which only the husband and wife would understand. Fortunately, we were able to sort out our differences. Today, everything is forgotten.”
