Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal had met on the sets of Fukrey and after keeping their relationship under the wraps for a few years, the couple had opened up about the same. Richa and Ali are often surrounded with questions about their wedding and when finally, the couple had decided to tie the knot in 2020, the pandemic had postponed their plans. Uncertain of when they will be planning their wedding now, Ali and Richa are making the most of their courtship period and are focussing on their professional commitments.
To mark Ali Fazal’s 34th birthday on October 15, 2020, Richa Chadha took to her social media handles to post a new magazine cover featuring her beau. Ali graced the cover of the magazine, The Man, which described him as "one of India's biggest stars", Guddu bhaiya of Mirzapur looked dapper in a black kurta. Killing us with his intense gaze and posing with a gun in his hand, it was difficult to take our eyes off Ali but it was Richa’s hilarious birthday wish for him that grabbed our attention. Richa tweeted, "As Guddu as it gets... hbd soulmate. Phone uthao shot ke baad. @alifazal9!" When a fan expressed his admiration of Ali by replying on Richa’s tweet, she retorted, "Me too. Blush" to his comment, "Happy Birthday to your Guddu. Kinda love him."
When the trailer of the much-awaited web series, Mirzapur season 2 had released on October 6, 2020, it had received the loudest shout out from Ali Fazal’s ladylove, Richa Chadha. Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal had featured on the cover of Brides Today magazine and the former had written a letter to her beau, speaking of how it was a miracle that she found someone with whom she can discuss literature, cinema, poetry, food and music. Throwing some light on the healthy evolution of their relationship and giving it an official sanction, Richa Chadha's letter had further stated, "Now don’t let it get to your head because I have heard, after a few years of marriage, people sometimes want to murder their spouse! I won’t act on any such fantasies on account of being vegan. We have grown together mentally, spiritually, and in our respective careers. And it’s a healthy evolution because we’ve marinated, not fermented and gone stale—its fresh, forward feel now every day!
