Raveena Tandon, who shared a great camaraderie with every actress' of her time, had a beautiful bond with Boney Kapoor's first wife, Mona Kapoor. Interestingly, Raveena Tandon also developed a close relationship with Sridevi while working with her during the shooting of their film, Laadla. But there came a point in Raveena's life when she was strained with Mona because of Sridevi's affair with her husband, Boney Kapoor.
Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Raveena Tandon talked about sharing an amazing friendship with Sridevi during their film's shooting. Raveena shared that Sridevi would share her secrets with her. Sridevi would trust her and share a lot of stuff with her. However, Raveena was left in a dilemma as she also shared a close friendship with Mona Kapoor. Talking about the same, Raveena shared:
"We would talk; she would tell me things. She would trust me; we were close. I would be in a dilemma. Mona was my dear friend then. Sri became a friend while working with her. For some years, I was torn apart. Unfortunately, they went through that thing.

When asked if Raveena ever tried to reconcile with Mona, the actress shared that she never had a problem. Raveena also added that she is not one of those who would carry stories with her. Raveena also shared how she would understand both of them. She was quoted as saying:
"Torn apart means: I could understand Mona's issues. I could understand Sri's issues as well. I was kind of there for both of them. People go through a lot in their personal lives and as a friend you can be there for them without talking ill about the other."
Boney was married to Mona, and he was a father of two children, Arjun and Anshula when he had fallen head-over-heels in love with late actress, Sridevi's beauty. When Mona came to know about the harsh reality, she was devasted, but she put on a brave face for her kids and never let her personal differences affect their bond with Boney.
Mona Kapoor, who passed away in 2012 after giving a tough fight against cancer, stayed away from giving any interviews. However, once in a media interaction with DNA, the director's ex-wife had bared her heart out on her sprinted marriage and how she had found her own identity. She revealed that Boney Kapoor was ten years older than her and she was just 19 when she got married to him.
But Boney Kapoor's affair with Sridevi after 13 years of their marriage came as a shock to her. She had only heard of the same in movies and serials. Talking about the same, Mona had said:
"A second relationship was something that one had only read or heard about. But when it happened to me, at that very point my marriage was over. Respect, for me, is foremost. Love follows that. As we evolve, sometimes needs change. Boney too needed somebody else; not me. There was nothing left in the relationship to give it a chance because Sridevi was already with a child. Their rishta was kayam. That itself was a big statement for me to opt-out."
Well, Raveena Tandon was definitely an amazing friend!
