Television actor, Raqesh Bapat had gained a lot of fame after his stint in Bigg Boss OTT. However, it was Raqesh Bapat's chemistry with Shamita Shetty that became the talk of the town. Everyone felt the spark of love burning whenever cameras panned towards them. Recently, Raqesh opened up on his relationship with Shamita.
For the unversed, Raqesh Bapat was earlier married to Ridhi Dogra. The duo had tied the knot on May 29, 2011. However, Raqesh and Ridhi had parted ways in 2019. They had released a joint statement confirming their separation. However, while they have parted ways, they still choose to be each other's best friends.

Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Raqesh talked about his feelings with co-contestant, Shamita inside the BB house. He shared that they are a little more than just friends, and she holds a special place in his heart. The actor also revealed that he loves spending time with her.
Raqesh further opened up on his current relationship status with Shamita. He said, "It's slow and steady... We have spent some time together, but we still have to spend a lot of time. We need to know each other more. I don't want to rush into things, and I am sure she doesn't want to either. Matters like these, we need to deal with the heart in the right place and with some mindfulness. So, let's see where it goes. We will make an effort to know each other, for sure."
Earlier, in an interview with The Times of India, Raqesh Bapat's sister, Shalini Bapat, had opened up on her brother's growing closeness with Shamita Shetty. The start sister had shared that she thinks they look cute together. Shalini had also added that their equation also looks good together.
Coming back to Raqesh and Ridhi's divorce. The ex-couple shared a joint statement, which could be read as "Yes, we are living separately. However, this decision has been taken with mutual respect and care for each other and our families. We are two best friends who may not be a couple anymore. But our friendship will continue as it always has, through thick and thin."
We cannot wait to know Shamita's feelings for Raqesh!
