In less than a couple of days, the ‘IT’ couple of tinsel town Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh would be pronounced husband and wife to each other. Yes, amidst the blue waters of Lake Como at its regal hotel, Villa Del Balbianello, DeepVeer will tie the nuptial knot on November 14 and 15, 2018. Considering that it’s going to be in an intimate affair in presence of only close friends and family, we can’t wait for Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding and pre-wedding photos and videos to surface online, anyhow. And guess what? Ranveer Singh’s team has also left for Italy, including his manager and stylist, with dhols and damroos in their hands. Donning trinkets, Nitasha Gaurav, Ranveer’s stylist, has shared some photos from the airport on her Instagram stories. She captioned the photos as, “Our looks for the wedding #RanveerKiShaadi #deepveerkishaadi”, “Got the beat going #ranveerkishaadi” and “Ladke ke side ki ladies” Take a look:

Considering their different origins and ancestry, DeepVeer will have two weddings as per their respective customs. A news report suggested, “Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding”.
A few days ago, the Nandi Puja was held at Deepika’s Bangalore residence and post that Ranveer’s haldi ceremony took place. The pics went viral on social media, one in which Ranveer could be seen clicking a snap with casting director, Shanoo Sharma.
It’s been reported that post their wedding, Deepika and Ranveer would host two receptions- one in Bangalore and the other in Mumbai. A recent media report claimed, “The biggest reason why Deepika chose to have the reception at the Leela, Bangalore was renowned Italian restaurant of New York Le Cirque which goes by the name Le Cirque Signature. DP loves the restaurant in NYC and their franchise in Bengaluru drew Deepika to The Leela. Her mother has also gone for food tasting 2-3 times. The food will be pre-dominantly South Indian though. They will check into the hotel on 20th and check out on 22nd”.
Recently, talking to the renowned journalist, Rajdeep Sardesai, Deepika expressed her excitement about her wedding and said, “I'm excited in the same way as I'm excited about signing my next film. Marriage is something that I've always looked forward to in my life, as would any other girl." And when she was asked about her idea of a happy marriage, the Padmaavat actress replied, “I've seen my parents do it so well and so successfully and I think for me, that's the way I would like my married life to be as well. My parents have a beautiful relationship. The way they have managed their professional life as well as being together as a family. They have set such amazing benchmarks that both I and my sister (Anisha Padukone) would like to follow”. After months of speculations and conjectures, Deepika and Ranveer confirmed the news of their wedding on October 21, 2018 by releasing a statement which could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer”.
Post their wedding, Deepika and Ranveer will enjoy a short honeymoon owing to the latter’s professional commitments. As per reports, “The couple will head for a brief honeymoon before Ranveer dives into the promotions of Simmba which opens on December 28”.
Also, after being done with their wedding and reception, Ranveer will shift to Deepika’s house reportedly as they are unable to find their dream home, A source told a media house, “Zeroing down on such an apartment isn’t an easy task and this will take some time. They don’t want to rush into choosing the property. They want to do it up completely before they move in”. Another report suggested, “It’s a wise and practical decision by the duo because Deepika stays alone in Prabhadevi. And Ranveer doesn’t want her to leave the place that she has made her home over the years”.
Ranveer and Deepika always speak reverently of each other. In an earlier interview, Deepika spoke highly of her equation with Ranveer and had said, “He is my best friend (and this is not to be taken lightly). I am emotional, sensitive and vulnerable and I hurt easily. I can be so naked in front of Ranveer and I know he will never hurt me or take me for granted. That is the kind of trust and understanding we have. The reason I love and respect him is that I can bare my soul and still feel comfortable.
