Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh got brutally trolled after he gave his winning speech at the Filmfare Middle East Achievers Awards 2022. The actor recalled his struggling days and what his father told him when he wanted to get a portfolio made for Rs. 50,000. However, this left the netizens irked, and they called him out for his overacting.
For those who don't know, Ranveer Singh has had a spectacular acting journey. He has shown off his acting prowess in films like Bajirao Mastani, Manikarnika, Band Baaja Baraat, Gully Boy and many more. Apart from his filmy career, he is also hailed as a fashion icon for his experimental dressing and cross-culture outfits.

Now, a video from Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night 2022 has been making rounds on the internet. The award was held on November 19, 2022, and Ranveer bagged the Superstar of The Decade Award. While expressing his gratitude, the actor got emotional as he recalled his struggle days and how he had thought that his dream would never come true. He said:
"Aapko yaad hai papa, barah saal pehle, mein koshish kar raha tha aur mein portfolio banane ja raha tha… socha apna calling card leke jayenge aur dikhayenge ki bhaiya mein hoon naya actor, please mujhe kaam do. Portfolio ka quotation aaya Rs. 50,000… bola ke acha wala banayenge, bade photographer se banayenge. Meine bola papa Rs 50,000 bohut expensive hai toh papa ne bola ‘fikar mat kar beta tera papa betha hai yahan pe’ "

However, this didn't go down well with the netizens and they trolled the actor. One user wrote, "Aye 50 rupiya kat over acting ka ...sala thoda to normal krta...drama queen." Another commented, "Bas kar bhai har jagah rona pitna shuru kar dete ye miya biwi dono ek jese hai." One netizen penned, "Phir papa ne 5 crore rupe dekr band baaja baarat dilwa di aur phir sab sahi hogaya thank-you papa." Check it out:
The Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night 2022 saw prominent names from the world of glam and glitz come together. From Shehnaaz Gill, and Mouni Roy to veteran actors like Govinda and Hema Malini also were seen at the event. It was a star-studded night.
